On Tuesday last week we went for another ‘field trip’. Unfortunately Mia tore her dew claw right at the start and after an initial yelp and lifting of her paw, she insisted on carrying on as normal 🤪🙈 of course, she first had to get it cleaned up and bandaged in order to do so. Thanks to the skills I have learned at the many first aid courses I have attended over the years with Pet-ex Services! Of course, I hope it goes without saying that had I determined her injury to be worse than it was, the walk would have been stopped and she would have been taken to the vet for treatment. Once home her wound was cleaned again and another clean and dry bandage was applied. Mia went to the vet the next day with her owners because sadly it had broken at the base, so did end up having to come off (apparently she’s had this happen before). Her people say she is doing great and has been instructed to keep it clean and dry, so no group fun this week unfortunately. We expect to see her back next week, full of beans and ready for a caper! ☺️🐾
