PLEASE READ IN FULL

My surgery was delayed until Tuesday 26th due to the anaesthesiologist calling in sick. I have now had my surgery and am home recovering. My plan to come back on Monday 1st June has not changed as Chris will be doing the driving, dogs and all the manual things. I will just be there for directions, to give him the correct keys for houses and oversee everything. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone again ☺️

Unfortunately the lease company have contacted us and the van has to come off the road Tuesday 23rdJune to have work done and it’s MOT. Normally this can take a few days so I’m unsure when I will get it back or if I will be off the rest of that week. I obviously don’t want to take anymore time off but think it will definitely be off the road 23rd/24th/25th and if I’m lucky I will get it back in time for the Friday 26th walks but I can’t promise this. I think it’s best to have alternative plans in place for tuesday - Friday. I had naively assumed because we got the van in September it wasn’t due it MOT until then but this is not the case.

At this point I just feel like I am just letting everyone down. I have never had this much time off in the 20 years I’ve been running Walkies and lately it’s just one thing after another 😔 As always I am sorry this is inconvenient for everyone but out with my control 😔

Due to two of the teams anesthesiologists calling in sick yesterday my surgery did not go ahead. I have managed to secure a new surgery date for next Tuesday 26th May and my eldest daughter Kailyn is taking me so Chris won’t need to take any time off for that. All plans in place for the walks stay the same, I just won’t have as much recovery time as I would have liked and will have to rely on Chris and my daughters more than I had intended over the next few weeks.
The van was dropped off on Saturday 15th for accident repairs which is why I can’t resume this weeks walks even though I’m able, I am currently van less until the end of the month.

Not the update everyone was expecting but I wanted to keep everyone in the loop. Thank you all for the kind messages, the last week has been a complete blur getting finished up with the dogs, stripping/cleaning the van for body repairs and prepping and travelling for my operation, I’m sorry if I’ve missed anyone.

I will let you all know how next Tuesday goes as soon as I can

Operation Update - Notice of Days off

I have the date for my operation and Friday 15th May will be my last walk and I will be back to work Monday 1st of June.

Chris will be off w/c Monday 1st June and back Monday 15th June.

Thank you for everyone’s patience while we waited for a date to come through. 🐾

** CHRIS WILL BE OFF ON MONDAY**

Sadly our own dog Roxy has been having investigations done at our local vet and the findings are not good. Chris will be off on Monday to take Roxy to an emergency cardiologist appointment at Dicks Vet Hospital in Edinburgh.

We are sorry for the inconvenience but this is unavoidable (Aberdeen cardiologist is out of the country) and we are utterly heart broken.

Important information regarding
BOTH Chris and Nadine’s walks

As some of you will remember I damaged my knee a few years ago and have been waiting for surgery to repair it ever since. I have now had my pre op assessment and the surgery is imminent. I will get a minimum two weeks notice of the date and will let you all know as soon as I have it. Please can you start to have a back up plan in place for when this happens. The plan at the moment is as follows which should keep the disruption for everyone to a minimum

Week 1 & 2
MY walks will be CANCELLED
Chris’s walks will go ahead as normal

Week 3&4
My walks will be back on with Chris doing most of the physical work with me supervising/helping from the van
CHRIS’S walks will be CANCELLED

Weeks 5&6
My walks will go ahead with myself and my daughters/family helping
Chris’s walks will be back to normal

I apologise for the inconvenience but unfortunately this is unavoidable and much needed. If you have any questions please contact myself or Chris

**NOTICE OF DAY OFF**

THURSDAY 9TH APRIL

Unfortunately I have to head down to Glasgow again for another hospital appointment. After last time we’ve made the decision for Chris to take the day off too and come with me so I won’t have to drive on the way back. Therefore there are no walkies for either myself or Chris on Thursday 9th April
