Puppy-safe natural chews? We’ve got you covered 🐾

These are some of our favourite starter chews for wee pups who are ready to get their teeth into something tasty:

✨ Wrapped buffalo trachea
🐟 Fish skins — flats, braids or rings, your choice!
🐐 Goat or lamb ears
🥩 Beef gullet biltong
🐂 Bull pizzles
🐔 Puffed or dried chicken feet
🦆 Duck feet
🐄 Twisted beef bladder

They’re all natural, tasty options that are a bit more puppy-friendly than super hard chews.

A wee note on bones & antlers: raw bones are best introduced once your puppy has their adult teeth, usually around 6 months old at the earliest. For harder chews like antlers and large dried bones, we’d usually recommend waiting until they’re a bit older, around 9–12 months+, depending on the dog and their chewing style.

Always choose age-appropriate chews, introduce new ones slowly, pick the right size for your pup, and supervise chew time ❤️

We had the lovely Phoebe in to see us today 🐾💕

This adorable wee Dutch Shepherd is still getting used to the big, scary world out there, so she was a little apprehensive when she first came into the shop.

But after a couple of sausages from the staff, she soon started feeling much more confident and showed us what a sweet girl she really is 🥰

RAW FEEDING TIPS WITH GPS 🥩🐾

One of the most common raw feeding questions is: how much should I feed my dog or cat?

A good starting point depends on your pet’s weight, age, activity level, and body condition. Some pets need a little more, some need a little less — especially if they’re very active, still growing, needing to lose a wee bit of weight, or prone to gaining easily.

Feeding guides are a great place to start, then you can adjust over time by keeping an eye on your pet’s body shape, weight, and energy levels.

A very special visitor in the shop today – Luna! 🎉🐾

It was Luna’s birthday, so she treated herself to a stylish new BullyBillows harness to mark the occasion 💖 Looking fabulous as always!

And of course, we couldn’t let a birthday pass without a treat, so Luna enjoyed a birthday ice cream on us 🍦❤️

Our Summer Hamper Raffle is officially here, and it’s packed with all your pup’s summer essentials! 🐾

Inside the hamper you’ll find goodies like a freezer water bowl, a fun splash pad, a cooling wrap, all kinds of frozen treats, and more — perfect for keeping your dog cool, happy, and entertained this summer.

Raffle tickets are available in-store only from May 30th until June 21st, with the winner being drawn on June 22nd. Tickets are £1 each!

All proceeds will go towards the ARFC Youth Legacy Fund 💚

Just purchase your tickets at the till, keep hold of your ticket stubs, and cross your fingers! Please make sure you keep your tickets safe, as you’ll need them to claim the prize if you win.

We had a very special little visitor in the shop – Dave, the 3 month old Alabai (Central Asian Shepherd Dog) 🐾

An absolutely adorable boy with MASSIVE paws already… safe to say he’s going to be a very big lad when he’s fully grown 😅💚

Such a lovely pup with the sweetest nature. We can’t wait to watch him grow!
