TEAM MEMBER (Doggy Daycare)

Part-time
25 hour per week
Mon-Fri

Duties include, but are not restricted to:

• Maintaining high kennel standards at all times

• Cleaning the kennels

• Dog walking

• Exercising, feeding & general animal care

• Customer service - checking customers in and out, answering questions, making bookings amongst other administrative duties

• Help maintain the company's social media presence, taking and posting photos, etc.

You will be expected to:

• Maintain the health and welfare and safety of all the animals in our care.

• Provide excellent customer service to all our customers.

• Maintain and follow all health and safety policies and procedures.

• Be a self starter and able to work on your own

• You must be able to make important decisions and act responsibly. This is an extremely hands-on role

• You will need to be energetic and enthusiastic

SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS:

• An basic understanding of animal behavior and health

• Experience of working with animals in a commercial setting is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided

• Be passionate about animal welfare

• The ability to work under pressure, doing physically-demanding work outdoors, in all weathers

• A good eye for detail with excellent observational skills

• Must be willing, able and comfortable to handle dogs of all sizes

• A hard worker with a positive attitude

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• 18+ only, due to insurance and licensing purposes
• Right to live and work in the UK
• Clean criminal record

Great weekend for a few Mantrailing workshops. Well done to all the participants and your dogs, you all did incredible.

Granite Pack will be hosting Mantrailing workshops on Saturday the 19th of June and Sunday the 20th of June. 11am-3pm.

Mantrailing is a great hobby for you and your dog. You will learn the basics of search and rescue scent work skills. For many this will be a great little fun activity for you to keep your dog stimulated. For others, you may wish to go farther and train to be a fully certified volunteer search dog/ handler team.

Its great for physical and mental stimulation and is suitable for dogs of all breeds and ages.

You will be lead by John Miskelly a fully qualified mantrailing instructor & trained operational handler who is a member of RRI (Response Rescue International Search & Rescue Team)

What you will need:
A harness (for your dog) and 10 meter line
An article with your scent on it in a sealable plastic bag (eg: a wooly hat, glove, unwashed t shirt etc)
Treats for dog and their favorite toy for rewarding

The cost is £50 per dog & handler.

Please let us know if you would like to book as spaces are very limited.

Evening all,

I’m sure the majority of you will easily recognise the handsome doggie pictured below. Kahn has been a beloved pack member since day 1 and you’ve probably had him greet you at the gate on many occasions.

Today we were informed that Kahn is now unfortunately in need of a vital operation to fix a rather horrible and extremely painful Cruciate injury on his back leg.

If you could take just two minutes to read over the Go Fund Me page set up by his loving owner and if possible, make a donation (as little or as much as you can spare).

I’m sure you will all agree that the sooner Kahn receives this operation, the sooner he can be back with all his pals at daycare!

Hello!

Just a quick note following the Tier 4 announcement yesterday.

Granite Pack will be staying open and it will be business as usual!

Like all of us, dogs can feel the stress that comes with being stuck at home. They like routine and they still require exercise and socialisation so it’s always good to get them out of the house, even if you have to stay home.

As per our standard routine, we’re constantly cleaning and disinfecting!
