The evenings seem to be rapidly drawing in, here's little Rainbow about to tuck into her evening nuggets and Buzz, Kevin and Buddy having an inside browsing night feast.

All is well at Forest Lodge this sunny Sunday morning.

Yesterday we lost 3 brown hens and our Silkie Edith. We couldn't find them anywhere. Late evening arrived and I went out for a final look and found them, 1 had found her way back, 2 were stuck in the pig enclosure and little Edith was in the undergrowth the wrong side of the fence, after trying to round her up for 35 minutes she was back with her friend Ethel having a long drink.

Good job too because look who I caught on my wildlife camera at just gone midnight last night........

A quote by one of our teenage visitors today at the end of the session. I thought he was going to ask me about the guinea pigs, instead he said this...

"Doing a personal session is good, especially for me as I have autism, it is quiet, thank you for doing it"

That is the main reason I have set up Forest Lodge, to give personal, one to one hands on, quiet and calm sessions for people who find busy, crowded, noisy establishments hard to cope with.

The summer hols are racing by 🏃‍♀️

The weather is challenging for those who eat grass at Forest Lodge, but there is plenty of hedge to eat for our 3 pygmy goats, Buzz, Kevin and Buddy who just love a hedge browse walk.
