Morning all. With this extreme hot weather forecast for this week, I have decided to cancel all of my dog walks throughout this week. I did plan on doing just early morning walks, however it is still going to hit 25c early in the mornings and is just to hot and dangerous to take them out in it. It is difficult and a big shout to cancel all of your walks when your self employed as all bills still need to get payed, but the well-being and safety of all my dogs in my care comes first to me. I am really sorry for any inconvenience, but we need to keep the dogs safe and cool as possible in this extreme heat. Hopefully be a lot cooler next week and be back as normal.
Couple of things to keep your dogs cool during this heatwave;
● keep hydrated with cold water
●keep their paws wet as possible
●wet cold towel so dogs can lie on
●keep indoors or in shade as much as possible
● gravey flavoured ice cubes so dogs can lick.
