Lola had her very first big girl haircut ✂️🤍
Lola has reached that super awkward stage where her adult coat is starting to come through. As lovely as it sounds, it can be a bit of a nightmare — the soft puppy coat mixes with the new, harsher adult coat and they love to tangle together and create matting if not managed properly.
Lola’s lovely mum was really mindful of this, and even though Lola came in with absolutely zero knots or matts (gold star behaviour ⭐️), we decided to get ahead of it before it became a problem.
So… off came the fluff and we went for a shorter, more manageable big girl style 🐶
This will make things so much easier to maintain while her adult coat fully comes in. Then, once it’s all grown through beautifully, we can decide on her longer-term style.
Most importantly, keeping this stage stress-free means Lola can continue building a really positive relationship with grooming and brushing — both here with us and at home with her mummy 🤍
