Today on Sabbath, all the creatures—from the lowest to highest form of life—are given GOD the credits HE deserved as a CREATOR. However, human beings refused to acknowledge it—promoting its limited, finite and shallow know he termed as knowledge of science and philosophy to limitless, infinite and deepest knowledge of the ALMIGHTY, UNSEEN DIVINE BEING.

A simple human, who is not aware of how its body form a functionality, is not in any position to question God's personality.

Open Petition Letter: Humane Solutions for Street Dogs in Ethiopia

To Government Authorities, Policy Makers, and the Ethiopian Public,

We, Animals Need Attention Volunteers Movement, respectfully submit this open petition to call for humane, ethical, and effective policies for the management of street dogs in Ethiopia.

Street dogs are not outsiders. They have lived with Ethiopian communities for generations guarding homes, sharing public spaces, and surviving within our social environment. Today, however, they are increasingly subjected to violence, neglect, and mass killing under the justification of public safety.

This approach is both cruel and ineffective.

Scientific evidence and global public health standards confirm that killing street dogs does not control rabies nor reduce dog populations. It only creates suffering, public outrage, and a continuous cycle of the same problem.

We urgently call for a shift from elimination to prevention.

Our Petition Calls For:

1,Nationwide rabies vaccination programs for street and community dogs.

2, Spay and neuter initiatives as the primary and humane method of population control .

3, An immediate end to cruel killing practices and enforcement of animal welfare standards.

4, Collaboration with NGOs, volunteers, and shelters already working on the ground.

5,Public education campaigns focused on coexistence, rabies prevention, and responsibility.

Why This Matters

Street dog welfare is not only an animal issue—it is a public health, ethical, and societal issue.

The way a society treats its most vulnerable beings reflects its values and humanity.

Humane solutions are not foreign concepts. They align with Ethiopia’s religious teachings, cultural values, and responsibility to protect life.

We believe Ethiopia can choose compassion backed by science and policy.

This open petition is a call for action, dialogue, and responsibility.

Street dogs deserve protection.

Public health deserves real solutions.

Compassion deserves policy.
