🚨🐕 IT’S NOW OFFICIAL IN SPAIN! KEEPING PETS PERMANENTLY TETHERED IS PROHIBITED 🚫🐾

A historic measure aims to put an end to the silent mistreatment of thousands of animals. In Spain, keeping a dog or cat chained up or restricted to a fixed spot is no longer just an act of cruelty—it is now a serious offense under the new Animal Welfare Law! 🇪🇸👇

The regulations establish clear rules to protect our four-legged companions:

❌ The use of chains or leashes to habitually or permanently restrict an animal’s movement is prohibited.
❌ No more living on balconies or terraces! Pets cannot be kept on rooftops, in basements, storage rooms, balconies, or vehicles on a continuous basis.
❌ No leaving them tied up in public: It is forbidden to leave your dog tethered outside a supermarket or other shops without supervision.
⏳ Limits on time spent alone: A dog cannot be left completely alone for more than 24 hours (for cats, the limit is 3 days).

Violations involving the keeping of animals in such inhumane conditions are classified as serious or very serious offenses, carrying financial penalties ranging from 50,000 to 200,000 euros.
