Thrown away in a rubbish bin.
Now Wednesday and Morticia are completely settled in to their new loving forever homes.

It just takes a healthy food, vets visits, warmth, games and love to rehabilitate them. A special thanks to Pepi for always managng to find perfect homes for the kits

What a difference a day makes.

Yesterday, when Gail rescued them from a bin they were terrified, covered in fleas, their eyes badly infected, and the little black-and-white one could barely walk.

Today, their stomachs are full, they're running around, safe and warm, and already learning to trust and accept love.

Their eyes are almost clear, and their skin a d stomachs free of parasites.

All it takes is a little care, a lot of love and a safe place to turn a desperate beginning into a happy new chapter.

RESCUED OUT OF A BIN
Yes people are monsters.

We have been so hammered with kittens this year that we don't have room in our house or any of our fosters. But they are safe and well looked after by a friend who runs a small cattery (veterinary nurse).

ANNA AND REY OFF TO THEIR NEW FOREVER HOMES

We heard reports that someone had dumped a Siamese cat in our colony a few weeks ago. When we arrived the next day, we were surprised to find there were two of them. Our colony cats are a lovely bunch and were happily allowing the little ones to eat alongside them.

We managed to grab Rey by hand and put him in a cat box. Then, nonchalantly looking up at the sky with our best “We aren't doing anything” expressions, we managed to grab Anna too and, having only brought one box, put her in the trap we'd brought along.

Then it was a life of good food, warm beds, cuddles and love. They took to that quite quickly. They were less sure about the vet check-up, vaccinations, flea treatment and deworming — but that was quickly forgotten too.

And with Pepi's amazing ability to find homes for kittens, they were snapped up immediately.

WE GOT HIM... and then some.
Anna and Rey (king) are now rescued.

Two posts ago I said we wanted to rescue a Siamese kitten (3 months old) who was dumped in our colony. Well, it turned out he, was actually two very scared kittens. We managed to get them both Sunday morning.

Both in good shape

By this evening they were settled into domestic life with surprising alacrity. Rey has already been adopted and will go to his forever home soon. Anna is gorgeous and will be snapped up straight away (hopefully).

What.socialisation looks like
Euna, once very feral is a soppy loving adolescent. She leaves for her forever home at the end of the month with another kit.

A little Siamese just turned up (dumped) at our protected forest colony.

He looks to be about four months old. If we can find an adopter for him we will take him in and socialise him.

And if not he is quite happy where he is. The rest of the colony have accepted him. He is safe and we will feed him along with the others every day.

EVA LEFT US FOR HER NEW FOREVER HOME TODAY.
She was just an amazing happy kitten (adolescent) who just loved everyone and everything. Never still for a moment. Her new family are in for a treat.
