Hi, I'm Clyde! I'm a big boy who loves to give floppy slobby kisses and sniff around for treasures. I am clever and learn tricks quickly! But for 903 lonely days I have been looking at the same metal door and the same cement wall in front of me, thinking, why was I born and why do I exist, if there is noone to give my kisses to.... 😔 Is it because in Spain adopting me requires a simple PPP license? Is it because I am big and they think I look scary? Is it because I have leishmania, but the medicine just costs a few euros...?

By the end of the summer, I have counted 1000 days of loneliness 😪 Dreaming of a soft bed, a warm home, the loving arms of my own human.

Ohh what a ray of sunshine through the heavy clouds of our shelter's everyday life, to see our dogs being presented in Netherlands with the help of Podencoworld Nederland!

Netherlands is such a beautiful destination for rescue dogs, with all the forest, seaside, cooler climate and kind people.

Hopefully soon some furries can pack their bag and say "Daar kom ik!"

Again a severely abused dog in a medical emergency was dropped to the shelter in a weekend, where we do not even have basic veterinary aid available.

Please help us rescue the abused and abandoned animals of Marbella & San Pedro, while the Town Hall of Marbella is working on veterinary solutions of the homeless animals in our care.

Una vez más, un perro gravemente maltratado, en una emergencia médica, fue llevado al refugio durante un fin de semana, donde ni siquiera disponemos de asistencia veterinaria básica.

Little podenco Lucia, who was brought to us yesterday, starved, with a badly broken leg and a huge belly, started giving birth early this morning.

Her temperature dropped and she was rushed to Hospital Veterinario SOS Animal for an emergency operation, as she still had 2 dead puppies in her uterus. 6 puppies and mami Lucia survived the surgery, and tomorrow they can come back to the shelter for recovery, unless there is a puppy foster available to nurture them back to life....

La pequeña podenco Lucía, que nos trajeron ayer hambrienta, con una pata gravemente rota y una barriga enorme, empezó a dar a luz esta mañana temprano.

Le bajó la fiebre y fue trasladada de urgencia al Hospital Veterinario SOS Animal para una operación, ya que aún tenía dos cachorros mu***os en el útero. Los seis cachorros y su mamá Lucía sobrevivieron a la cirugía y mañana podrán regresar al refugio para su recuperación, a menos que haya una casa de acogida disponible para criarlos.

También necesitamos ayuda para cubrir los gastos médicos de todos los animales heridos que están llegando al refugio, mientras el Ayuntamiento de Marbella busca soluciones veterinarias para los animales sin hogar de Marbella y San Pedro.

It seems that tomorrow the rain might give us a break 😮‍💨, and finally our doggies can go out of their kennels to have a good leg stretch and a sniff of fresh grass.

Please come walking dogs tomorrow (and of course every day) between 9H and 13/14H. Come with good boots, waterproof jackets and change of clothes in your car.

If you are coming with children, then please come early! Later in the day we always only have strong dogs left to walk.

We also have guest dogs from Los Barrios shelter, so there are really a lot of dogs waiting to go out, please come and help 🤲

Parece que mañana la lluvia nos va a dar un respiro😮‍💨, y por fin nuestros perritos podrán salir de sus jaulas para estirar bien las patas y oler la hierba fresca.

Venid a pasear a vuestros perros mañana (y por supuesto todos los días) entre las 9H y las 13/14H. Venid con buenas botas, chaquetas impermeables y ropa de recambio en el coche.

Si venís con niños, venid temprano, porque más tarde siempre nos quedan perros fuertes para pasear.

También tenemos perros invitados del refugio Los Barrios, así que hay muchos perros esperando para salir, venid a ayudar 🤲

La mayoría de las personas que la atienden son voluntarios que dedican su tiempo y esfuerzo a ayudar y atender a los animales abandonados y maltratados en la Costa del Sol de la zona de Marbella y San Pedro Alcántara. Los animales que tenemos, más o menos 500, permanecen con nosotros hasta que encuentran un hogar. Nuestra Misión es acogerlos, darles cobijo y atenciones básicas como comida e higiene, atención veterinaria, cariño y prepararlos para una segunda oportunidad. No recibimos ayuda económica del Gobierno Central o Autonómico. Puntualmente recibimos una pequeña ayuda económica del Ayuntamiento de Marbella. Triple A sobrevive gracias a las cuotas de sus socios, donaciones, padrinos y eventos que organizan nuestros voluntarios.
