They used to love their regular massages when I lived in Auckland. As they got a bit older it helped them stay loose, relaxed and allowed them to continue exploring the garden and getting up to all kinds of mischief.

In a video I did recently I said I'd had about 100 hours of training to become certified, but then I found my certificate and realised it was 3 times that!!! 300 hours... That's a pretty significant chunk of time when you think about it 😳 (and totally worthwhile!)

If you’d told me 10 years ago that I’d be posting a photo of me massaging a dog, I definitely would’ve laughed. Yet here I am.

After years climbing the corporate ladder in HR – partnering with leaders, building strategies, and championing women in leadership – I reached a point where I realised I’d lost sight of what I truly wanted.

So, I made a pretty bold move.

I took redundancy, packed my bags, and flew solo to Chicago to retrain as a canine massage therapist. (Yes, really!)

That leap led to one of the most fulfilling chapters of my life. Back in New Zealand, I built a business helping dogs: easing arthritis, aiding post-surgery recovery, and supporting agility dogs. I worked with rehab vets, trained vet nurses, and even found myself on TV, radio, and in magazines.

It was worlds away from HR conference rooms, and I loved every second of it.

But life evolves. Moving from New Zealand to Barcelona brought new opportunities. I returned to my people roots as a career coach, blending my expertise with lessons from my own bold career shifts.

Now, I’m thrilled to be combining both passions: coaching professional women through career transitions and returning to canine massage therapy – helping dogs live healthier, more comfortable lives.

I’m just getting things set up at the moment, so watch this space for updates, tips, and stories about how canine massage can make a real difference.
