Finca La Castellana cattery and re-homing are based in San Miguel de Salinas. We can cater for up to 40 cats at any one time, but never losing the personal touch and care that we provide for your cat. All cats are kept in a very safe environment with access to a secure and safe outside space. We have had comments back from many people saying how relaxed and what great condition their cats were on

collection. When we hear comments like this it spurs us on to make sure that this relationship continues and as always the cats come first

Do you remember our appeal for the 5 kittens to be bottle fed?
Well, here is an update.

Sadly on Saturday one of the little girls passed & is running free over rainbow bridge. 🌈
Her foster mama sent us this message
“ We have prayed over her and for her safe passage to the other side. Tucked her in with a blanket and a rose. Laid her to rest under a big tree opposite our apartment. She has rocks, a cross and lots of beautiful pink and white flowers. We called her Star. Too precious for this world”

What a beautiful message, how lovely that we have people who truly care about animals & are willing to help
Us every opportunity they can.

We would like to thank you & your family for all you did for this little one,, thank your children for naming her star, it was perfect & thank you for taking care of the other four who have now opened their eyes

Not at the Finca

The black cat is Oshin, She is sterilized and 3 years old. She is used to being inside and outside but does not like being picked up. She likes to be petted and also to lie on the couch with you, but then she has to know you a bit. She is okay with a small dog but will not lie with it. So she is homely but there is still something anxious in her. I got them out of the garbage container myself 3 years ago and had them sterilized, but a friend adopted them. He has to move back to Belgium and the house has been sold. On Monday, July 16, he will leave for Belgium again. We have already done a lot to place them, but it is very difficult.

Today we had the pleasure of visiting Amber, she was a bit tired as a result of the hot weather.

Amber is a true companion: she loves to be close to her humans – whether in the kitchen, the bathroom, or on the couch.
Even though Amber has several cozy sleeping spots to choose from, she rarely uses them. She much prefers to sleep in bed, or on the couch. Sometimes, she also curls up in the wardrobe.

Whenever birds appear on TV Amber becomes very excited – she watches them with great interest and even tries to chase them.

A particularly sweet moment was when the father came home. Amber was visibly happy 😺 and greeted him with a soft, loving miaow.

You have truly landed on you fury paws & we wish you the best life ever 💞
