A little shoutout today to all the mums – dog mums, human mums, step-mums, foster mums, aunties who stepped in, and anyone who’s ever poured their heart into caring for another.
Being a mum isn’t about biology – it’s about love, patience, grit, and probably being followed into the loo far more than you'd like (especially if you’ve got a dog).
Big love to the dog mums showing up every day – even when your reactive whirlwind kicks off on a walk, or you’re googling “why does my dog stare at me while I eat?”
And to those of us missing our mums – whether human or canine – today can feel a bit tender. You’re not alone. Light a candle, raise a cuppa, or have a quiet moment. They’re always with us, in some way.
Take it easy today. However you do or don’t mark it – that’s totally valid.
Love,
Sam x
