❗️ Currently, only about £130 per horse is allocated by the Horse Race Betting Levy Board (HBLB) for aftercare provision of the (approx) 7,500 horses who leave racing each year. This, despite the HBLB receiving 10% of the £1billion profit made from betting.

💔This leaves horses vulnerable to uncertain futures. The stark reality being that slaughter and other lethal means of disposing of the industry’s unwanted horses is commonplace.

SIGN THE EUROPEAN INITIATIVE TO GUARANTEE MORE VEGAN ALTERNATIVES

The number of people, especially youth, who are changing over a plant-based and cruelty free diet is growing rapidly. If cafeterias, restaurants, supermarkets, shopping mall, cinemas, etc, offered more vegan alternatives, the number of vegan oriented people would increase significantly.

A choice driven by ethical, environmental and health reasons.
🐮 𝐄𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 because a vegan diet doesn't imply the exploitation and killing of animals
🌱𝐄𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 because this kind of diet can bring great benefits for the planet
🧑‍⚕️𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 because it benefits our body

OIPA International supports the European Citizens’ initiative “VEGAN MEAL” to ask for an EU law that explicitly makes the vegan alternative always available in private and public places selling food and drinks in Europe.

A legislation which, considering the new collective awareness about animal rights and the existence of different food choices, not only would give justice to all vegans and vegetarians, but would also contrast pollution, global warming and the increase in the cost of food. A legislation that would favour the reduction of CO2 emissions, environmental contamination and water consumption.
