Our two crazy Texas Heelers, Jolene and Buck, running around like maniacs, then cooling off in a bucket like they’ve just run a marathon 😂🐕💦

Yesterday, the world seemed to pause for a moment. 🌑✨

We wanted to share the eclipse with our horses, so we drove out to find them… and, almost as if they knew, they came to see us just shortly before the sun disappeared and the world around us turned almost completely dark.

And then, for a little while, it was just us and the horses.

No wind.
No sound.
Absolute silence.

Just the strange, beautiful darkness of the eclipse, the horses standing quietly beside us, and a feeling that is difficult to put into words.

It felt magical. Almost as if time had stopped for a moment and we were simply there together, witnessing something extraordinary.

A moment between the sky, the earth, and these beautiful souls. 🤍🐴🌑

One we will carry with us for a very long time.

Our young horses, mares, and pregnant mares have plenty of space to run, play, explore, and grow up together as a herd, surrounded by nature. 🌿🐎☀️

A special thank you to and Sabine de Bruijn-Leening for trusting us and allowing your horses to be part of this wonderful herd life too. 💕 It’s a privilege to see them grow, bond, and simply enjoy being horses together. 🥰

The only downside? Sometimes they make us work for it! 😄 With so much space to disappear into, checking on them can feel like a safari 🦒🌳 — and every time we go, there’s a new surprise waiting for us!
