UPDATE: Swiffer has been reserved for adoption. Thank you Sara Pelu Can for the free make over and for sharing Swiffer's story, which resulted in his adoption. Swiffer is a lovely older gent who has become an orphan after his owner died in hospital. He is a Lhasa Apso cross who is about 12 years old and weighs about 9 kilos. He has been vaccinated, castrated and is in good health so he has many years of companionship to give. Swiffer is a sweet dog who loves people and he gets along with other dogs and is fine with cats. If you would like to meet Swiffer please message me.

Hello fellow animal lovers. We have had an urgent request from a customer who needs someone to bottle feed 4 three week old kittens from tomorrow for the next 2 weeks. He must go back to Sweden for a family emergency and rescued this little kittens 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately, they are not vaccinated so they cannot come into kennels as they will be exposed to other cats and it will be too risky for them. Anyone who can help please contact us. Thanks.

The lockdown is affecting the local charities in your area. If you are able to help with donations or fostering please contact CAS or an animal charity near you.

All of the charities who relied on income from their shops will have lost that income for the time being due to the lockdown. But CAS's kennel costs, vet costs and the need for animal food are still ongoing so donations are more important now than ever.

Please consider giving extra and also, could you foster a dog and relieve some of the kennel costs? That would give you company in this difficult time and an excuse to get some fresh air each day.

Coco was adopted by an English couple who were here on holiday. We get to take care of the lovely, playful kitten for the next two weeks before she travels to the UK.

Hector was rescued by a nice Spanish man and brought to CAS. Apparently, the pup suffered from a broken leg near the shoulder about 3 weeks ago but did not receive vet treatment either due to financial reasons or in the hopes the leg would heal. Unforunately, Hector had been dragging the leg for a while as eveidenced by the scars on his paw and developed a large pressure sore on his elbow. We took him to the CAS vet and due to severe nerve damage the leg could not be saved so the vet amputated it yesterday. Since then Hector has gone from a shy, depressed pup to a brighter one with a fighting spirit. After 24 hours he is walking with a harness and by tomorrow he will be learning to do so without assitance. Once he is on the mend we will introduce him to other dogs and when he gains his confidence we will be looking for a good home for Hector.

This little dog has been found near Seacrest Kennels. The people who are looking after him have a B&B and cannot keep stray dogs. Does anyone recognise him or can you give him a foster or permanent home?

Cameron is a lovely Breton Spaniel type, 1-2 year old male dog, who is looking for a good home. He was found in Maro about 2 months ago by a homeless man but the man has recently been arrested and is in jail. We think Cameron might be a lost dog because he is in very good condition. He has a very sweet personality, loves people and is good with other dogs and cats. He has been chipped and fully vaccinated and will be castrated before he goes to a new home. Please contact us if you know someone who is looking for a lovely dog for a pet.
