- Back to France 🇫🇷 -

A week ago we were coming back from Béziers IDS, after not showing in France for a long time..since the last show in Perpignan in January, where we brought the same duo that was shown last Sunday.
My intention this time was to take Hero only, and it was my co-owner Erika who told me she wanted India to join us as well…so yes, we brought her too.

In our last French show in January, and with a good number of Dalmatians entered (as usual in France), Hero got CACS and RCACIB and India got the JCACS and the JCACIB, ending up as JBOS, so I was waiting to see what would happen this time that we haven’t been training too much.

I must say we love the French shows: an outstanding atmosphere, good people and good food, many friends, many Dalmatians, and extra beautiful places to visit while you are not competing.
After +11 years at shows, I’ve never had the chance to show in Béziers; this was my very first time in this lovely city…and I know I’ll come back again.

The show and the place were super nice, everything easy and well organized, and although I’m still trying to muster up the will to do some things, I spent a good day surrounded by friends and we had fun together.

Under Mr Judge Jarmo Vuorinen (FI) and with 9 Dalmatians entered, our duo made me enjoy, and made me feel extremely proud:

Hero- Multi Ch JBISS Multi JCh Pawppaloosa Diamoon Hero LUA, in Champion class for the first time at only 2,5 years old, was Exc1 CACIB and BEST OF BREED! 🏵️
With this CACIB and in the minimum time required, Hero became INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION (ph)!!! 🏆

India- JBIS Multi JCh Pawppaloosa Everywhere LUA, for the first time in Intermediate class in an official show (not an open one) at 21 months old, was Exc1 CACS CACIB et unexpectedly BEST OF OPPOSITE S*X 🏵️against Hero, beating the other intermediate and open females again! 🥹 I was 100% surprised, over the moon with how she did; even more considering that I wasn’t going to enter her.

In the afternoon big finals, Hero rounded off a fabulous day by being RBEST OF GROUP!🥈🥳

Thank you so much to breed judge Mr. Jarmo Vuorinen for thinking so highly on our youngsters, and to group judge Mr Jean-Claude Garnero (FR).

I am beyond grateful to my dogs ❤️‍🩹 for giving their all, even when I’m down.

The 🤎 liver 🩷 half-sisters 🧡

Two weeks ago we came back to the ring although I wasn’t really very motivated after Dom passing away only 3 weeks before; but there we were..making an effort to come back and show the youngsters after the Summer break.

So one more year, on last September 28th, we went to Tàrrega’s Open Dog Show to start training for the second half of the show season, with Valkia- that hadn’t been shown since July, when she made her debut by winning the Baby BIS- and India- who hadn’t competed since May in Madrid’s mandatory point, where she was awarded JBOB and won her Spanish Junior Championship and Latin Junior Winner title.

It made me good to see some friends and the team again, but I was feeling really very sad and I wasn’t honestly into it for competing, however our liver LUA half-sisters (both daughters of Diva) rocked it and made my day.

Under Juan Carlos Rosas (ES) with 8 Dalmatians entered:

Valkia- BBIS Pawppaloosa Fireworks LUA N/N in Puppy class for the first time at 7 months old, after a brief but successful time in Baby class, was VP1 and BEST PUPPY OF BREED! 🏵️

India- JBIS Multi JCh Pawppaloosa Everywhere LUA, in Intermediate class at 21 months old, was Exc1 and BEST OF BREED, beating the open and champion females!!! 🏵️

We were beyond happy to see Jugger- Multi JCh Pawppaloosa Cowboy Soul LUA- and Alejandra Vidal back to the ring again after their maternity leave ☺️, and prove they are still showing their socks off, being Exc1 in Open class and winning BEST OF OPPOSITE S*X against his half-sister India.

Three half-siblings out of the three different litters from Diva (3,5 years- 1,9 years and 7 months old from our litters C, E & F), succeeing together 🥹.

In the big finals, both girls kept giving me all and made me proud, rounding the day:
Valkia won BEST PUPPY OF GROUP and was finally 3BEST PUPPY IN SHOW! 🏆🥉
India also nailed it by winning BEST OF GROUP among the adults! 🏆🥇 and doing wonderful in her very first Best in Show finals.

I am delighted with them both; our young liver princesses are developing so well✨and we’ll keep working to improve specially with Valkia, but I enjoyed every step I took in the ring with them again.

Thank you to my friends, to the Pawppaloosa team, but above all thanks to my dear dogs to make me feel a bit better that day.

I woke up in tears today. I am absolutely emotioned by having received this lovely bouquet and a heartbreaking but beautiful note from a good friend, a person who loved Dom at the most.

Before Dom left, I could fortunately take a sample from him and test for disproportionate dwarfism. The result arrived today and I am happy to confirm he was free for the mutation.

Still gathering strength to realize he is no longer by my side. We are beyond devastated, heartbroken, that we unexpectedly had to say goodbye to my soulmate, Dom.

We did it all. We gave it all. But after noticing some irregularities during this Summer, and after coming back from our vacation last Thursday morning, he dramatically started having difficulties to walk, to keep his balance and coordination. He also had digestive issues. Too fast, too short, too tough.

We checked it all on same Thursday, as we used to do every six months, blood, urine, f***l analysis, ultrasound and x-rays, and we detected his colon and prostate quite inflamed, and a suspicious mass next to his tail, which he couldn’t almost move.

On Friday morning he had fever and started shacking, but he kept eating with joy.
We urgently drove an hour and went for a CT scan that day, I was really very concerned.

Saturday was terrible, under medication but with little to do only waiting for results. Enjoying every minute with him.

On Sunday morning, he was feeling really bad and we finally received the terrible news:
Dom was diagnosed with an inoperable fast-growing infiltrative tumor in the pelvic canal, impacting to buttocks, spine, prostate and digestive system, that’s why he lost a lot of weight and all his muscle tone in only a few days, besides being difficult for him to p*e and poo. The forecast was extremely bad.

I couldn’t see him suffer, although he kept smiling to us and looking for sticks to play with even though he couldn’t nearly move…and with all the pain in our hearts, we decided to let him go in the afternoon, at home, in peace and silence, with dignity and love like I promised him to do if the time arrived someday.

Dom was the kindest, strongest and bravest soul even in his last steps. And now it seems not possible to me to look around and see the huge void he’s left at home, and in us.
Musa and Diva also had the chance to say goodbye to him. Our engine, my pillar and inspiration, Pawppaloosa’s foundation dog, the spark in everything we do. The most enthusiastic, noble, demanding but charismatic dog I’ve ever known. A truly mover, a real champion. A magnificient daddy of many lovely puppies and champion dogs in Europe and also a lovely father figure for the ones who weren’t his offspring itself. As I always say, my life in a dog.

He’s been the best travel mate, my guide. The one who saved me, and the one who teached me to be brave. 11 years of incomparable pure love. We entered the dog world together, and we learned everything side by side. Thanks to him I travelled so much and meet many many friends around the world. Thanks to his breeder; and thanks to all our friends who loved him so much and have been sending messages over the last three days.

Wait for me in the other side of the rainbow, my love 🌈💔. I will miss you every day. Until we see each other again, Dream Of Mine. Thank you will never be enough. Fly high 💔

Boom 🫠🧡

Last dance before our Summer break ⛱️, and as usual it was at Campdevànol Open Dog Show, however this time we brought our liver baby girl Valkia- Pawppaloosa Fireworks LUA N/N making her debut in the ring, with the best assistants, granny Musa and my brand new husband Sergi, both providing the best vibes 🫶.

Campdevànol is a beautiful place, at the entrance of the Pyrenees, and this show is concretely located next to the river, offering a refreshing and pleasant breeze 🍃 even in the warmest days. We really like coming to this show every year, where the atmosphere is outstanding.

Under Mr Judge Demetrio Sanz (ES) our 5 months old show girl was VP1 BEST BABY OF BREED, went on by winning BEST BABY/PUPPY in group🥇(babies and puppies were competing together) and rounded off an unbelievable debut being crowned BEST BABY/PUPPY IN SHOW! 🥹🏆

It was really an exciting moment both for Sergi and me, since we’ve been working with Valkia only since last week. She spent two days at home last week and the she’s been with us for last four days as well, not training so much but mainly focusing on improving the socialization our co-owner Alba has been working on since she left home. Well done team 🥳.

Teamwork makes dreamwork, really!
What a wonderful weekend 🥰

🥲 I’m feeling very proud of my puppies.
Hero was RBIS last year at the same show from Intermediate class, and this year, his daughter, the only dog we showed, has been Baby/Puppy BIS in her very first time. She just turned 5 months old on Thursday.

Now it’s time to rest and enjoy a well deserved vacation from the ring, both for our dogs and us..but with our last results, vibes are ✨🔝.
