💜 Retiring in style 🥹🥺✨

2 weeks ago we came from Monaco’s International; yes it’s taken me 2 weeks to assume that’s another chapter coming to an end.

May has been intense: many km driven, much joy by catching up with the team, a few new Champions at home, and a little sorrow, since I knew something was about to change soon, but with conviction and pride knowing that I did what is right.

On May 8th, my friend and co-owner Erika and me, spent half of the weekend with our girl India, her half-sister Valkia and her granny Musa. We visited beautiful places and enjoyed our time in Monaco 🇲🇨.

On May 9th, under judge Alberto Cuccillato (IT) and 18 Dalmatians entered, my girls did a a good job:

India- BISS JBIS Multi JCh Pawppaloosa Everywhere LUA, in Open class at almost 2,5 years old, was Exc.
She didn’t make it, but we enjoyed together, as usual.

Valkia- JCh Pawppaloosa Fireworks LUA N/N, in Junior class at 14 months old, made me proud by getting Exc1 JCACIB and BEST JUNIOR OF OPPOSITE S*X!🏵️

With these results, she’s now MONACO JUNIOR CHAMPION and INTERNATIONAL JUNIOR CHAMPION (ph)!🏆
.and what can I say about our Musa, that became Spain Veteran Champion only 2 weeks before; standing there, giving me her all as she uses to do:

Musa- VCh Multi Ch JBISS Gwynmor Kahlua to Pawppaloosa, in Veteran class at 9 years old, was Exc1 VCACIB and BEST VETERAN OF BREED🏵️ with outstanding comments from the judge.

Thanks to this, she turned into MONACO VETERAN CHAMPION and INTERNATIONAL VETERAN CHAMPION (ph)!🏆

Retiring my veteran dogs when they’re still doing well, when they’re up at their top, healthy and strong, looking at me with so much pride and love and enjoying the ring, is something I promised myself way so long ago. I did the same when the time came for Dom, after a short but sucessful time in Veteran class, and now is her turn.

How lovely it was and how beautiful we did it..my black queen. Too short. 9 years in the ring with you flew by, and together, we got what you really deserve as the wonderful, amazing girl you are. I’ll never forget our last runs in Valladolid and Monaco.

🪇Pawppaloosa rocks 🥰🤜🤛

Last weekend took place one of the most important shows in our country; the Mandatory Points for Spain’s Championship were held in Valladolid, but most important, we celebrated a weekend full of team spirit, friendship, joy, companionship and fun. The dogs enjoyed SO much playing together in the big garden from the house we rented.

Sharing the journey with these people (half of the Pawppaloosa Team this time), is always heartwarming, a valuable time. I feel the greatest winner to have them by my side…honored, blessed 🙏.

🔴 On Saturday, with 26 Dalmatians entered under judge Maria Jose Haro (ES), my girls did great:

India- BISS JBIS Multi JCh Pawppaloosa Everywhere LUA, at 2,5 years old in an Open class of 9, was shortlisted and got Exc5.

Valkia- BBIS Pawppaloosa Fireworks LUA N/N, in Junior class at 14 months old, was Exc1 CCJ and BEST JUNIOR OF BREED🥇, turning into new SPAIN JUNIOR CHAMPION (ph)! 🥳 in the big finals in the afternoon, she crowned her day, being awarded BEST JUNIOR OF GROUP 🏆 out of 6 breeds in the Honour Ring 😱🧡.
Thank you to the judge Adrián Argente (ES) for thinking so highly of her.

Musa- Multi Ch Gwynmor Kahlua to Pawppaloosa, in Veteran class at 9 years old, was Exc1 CCV and BEST VETERAN OF BREED 🏵️ becoming new SPAIN VETERAN CHAMPION (ph)! 🥹

Also some of our other co-owned dogs did a good job:

Aslan- JCh PT Pawppaloosa Famous Sword LUA, in Junior class was Exc1 CCJ and Best Junior of Opposite S*x 🏵️ handled by Ana.

Eyra- Multi JCh Pawppaloosa Endless Shine LUA, in Open class, was Exc handled by Juan Antonio Fournier.

Magna- JCh PT Pawppaloosa Fairytale LUA N/N in Junior class, was Exc2 RCCJ🥈 just behind her litter sister Valkia, handled by Arayka Coloma.

🔴 On Sunday under judge June Wall (IE) and 27 entries:

- Valkia and Musa weren’t shown; a well-deserved rest 🫶
- India was shortlisted, as well as her litter sister Eyra, handled by Jota. Both got an Excellent.
- Aslan was Exc1 in Junior class. After this weekend, he needs only two more points to become Junior Champion of Spain ✨.
- Magna was Exc1 CCJ and BEST JUNIOR OF BREED 🏵️ turning into new SPAIN JUNIOR CHAMPION (ph)! 🤗

Musa, bred by Annemiek Morgans, and her two granddaughters out of our Diva (bred by Elizabeth Sampson), Valkia and Magna, are now Veteran and Junior Champions of Spain 🇪🇸🥹
I can’t feel prouder and more thankful.

In addition, Ana’s Lyra- Pawppaloosa Edge of Sunrise, was shortlisted and got Exc3 both days in a big Open class. Congratulations!

…and after Musa’s birthday on April 10th…we are celebrating again! 🥰🥳

Feeling emotional when watching these pictures, which remind me a very special but also tough litter, our Warriors’ litter in 2022 ⚔️

Four years ago today, we were welcoming our C litter into the world…Diva’s first litter with Giant.
From that litter we knew how challenging breeding can sometimes be, we learned many things, but we overall discovered how resilient we are when there’s a purpose.
That was indeed a huge team work because….four years ago Diva gave birth to 17 tiny puppies. Unfortunately, only 6 made it after a nightmare birth.

Our 6 warriors, a litter of survivors with an amazing temperament.

(Multi Ch Rembrandt d’une Pluie d’Été x BISS Multi Ch Dalstorm Golden Goddess LUA).

Happy to say all our three keepers from the E litter (Morgan, India and Eyra) have perfect hips and elbows.

~ Igualada Open Dog Show 🎈~

It’s been a while since we last run in a ring, almost three months, and yesterday we were back at work with Pawppaloosa’s young team, taking advantage of the friendly environment of this Open show to do some training with our liver half-sisters India and Valkia (who are competing in two mandatory points somehow soon) and also debut with the three babies from our G litter!

Uma, Blaze and Iron turned 3 months yesterday, minimum age required to step into a ring, and they three did absolutely awesome for such a young age 🥹.

A lovely place only 30 min far from home, a sunny day with high temperatures specially in the afternoon, a group of friends, newcomers and team mates learning and having fun with their dogs…and under judge Jonathan Fuentefría (ES) and 11 Dalmatians entered:

Iron- Pawppaloosa Guide the Brave LUA, made his debut in Baby class, showing his socks off by getting VP1 BEAT BABY OF BREED and BEST BABY OF GROUP! 🏆

Litter sister Uma- Pawppaloosa Grown Hope LUA, also in Baby class handled by her newcomer owner , surprised us all being VP1 BEST BABY OF OPPOSITE S*X! 🏵️
Congratulations to you both, feeling so proud of you two!

Her sister Blaze- Pawppaloosa Ginger Soul, in Baby class was VP2 and did an amazing job, behaving like a star ⭐️.

India- BISS JBIS Multi JCh Pawppaloosa Everywhere LUA, in Open class at almost 2,5 years old, was Exc2 in a class of 4. She looked happy to be back in the ring and gave me her all 🩷.

Valkia- BBIS Pawppaloosa Fireworks LUA N/N, in Junior class at 14 months old, was Exc1 and BEST JUNIOR OF BREED 🏵️, getting her 3rd point out of 6 point for the Cat JCh. It’s been long since we last show her but she did really good.

Thank you so much to the judge for his kindness and good commentaries on all of our dogs, and congratulations to owners and co-owners. Feeling proud of the youngsters, and the team work overall 🫶.

Now it’s time to keep working for the upcoming shows, that can make a difference specially for the Junior ones!

Next stop: Valladolid Spanish Mandatory Point in 2 weeks 🤗 were we will see some of our team mates and co-owned dogs again! Looking forward to it.

9 to 10 weeks old

And to round off a day as beautiful as hard, the last puppy within our G litter left the nest as well 😣.
He was the last puppy born in a small but awesome litter of 3, the only male, but what a boy he is!

With Iron 🩵 Pawppaloosa Guide the Brave LUA, we close another chapter of our story: the G litter comes to an end, and what a journey it’s been!

Iron is a masculine, adorable chunky puppy, with wonderful pigmentation and the darkest of the eyes; a strong big one of 8,5 kg that proved to be a gentle giant, with a chilled affectionate nature, self-confident personality and the sweetest of temperaments.

He’s an absolute keeper. For a while, we even considered to keep him at home, but after thinking rationally about it, we decided it wasn’t the proper time for us yet.

Therefore, this baby boy must be the second puppy staying in co-own in this litter. Iron is a very balanced and promising baby, with an incredibly cute head, good bone and structure, and nice pigmentation even having in mind he is LUA N/hu.

He will live an hour far from home, with a family that already had a Dalmatian male a few years ago, and waited patiently until they were ready to love again.

Marina and Aleix appeared only in December, when we were in New Zealand; when I was hoping to find a suitable co-ownership for a show male and, by sending me an email I will never forget, I automatically had that feeling, the feeling any breeder looks for.

Their commitment, responsibility and awareness on the breed comes not only from Aleix’s previous Dalmatian; Marina, who only lived with him during his last years, has also an extra that caught my attention: her aunt used to familiarly bred Giant Schnauzers, attending shows and enjoying the dog’s world.

With my support, Marina will be showing Iron so soon, joining the Pawppaloosa team and enjoying with us 🥰. Marina’s dream came true today: having a Dalmatian puppy is something she’s been dreaming of all her life, even before meeting Aleix.
With this outstanding family, not keeping Iron at home was a kind of a relief and consolation.

Thank you guys for choosing us, for being as special as Iron is. Let’s have some fun together!

Second round 🫣

There are always tough farewells..and this one was definitely one of them, although I am very happy and pleased this special girl goes to someone that we already call family 🥹.

Today was also the time for Blaze 🧡 Pawppaloosa Ginger Soul- to say goodbye, although it was not farewell at all.

Blaze carries the fire 🔥 in her. I must admit she caught my eye since day 1 of life.

She has inherited so much from Dom. Her type, energy and vitality, presence, a sweet personality and naturally extroverted lovely temperament with a bit of craziness is something that reminds us to her grandad, even her pigmentation and spotting are so alike.

Blaze will be in co-own with Andrea Barenys, living also with Dani Carrasco and their daughter Olivia in Barcelona, a Pawppaloosa family that previously kept Blue- Pawppaloosa Begi Ur, a litter brother of Mamba 5,5 years ago. For sure they will do a good tandem.

Andrea did a good job with Blue before, and lives only 15 minutes far from us, so I had no doubt she would be the right person to keep a puppy in co-own with us when she asked me to repeat the experience with a second baby.

I am beyond excited to add Blaze to my team and our future breeding plan; but also so grateful 🙏 to Andrea for trusting us one more time and make it possible. Repeaters are way too special for me.

Thank you also to all of you for an emotional and beautiful gift; this t-shirt with my three foundation dogs 🥹🥲.

I know many good things await us together, and I am looking forward to step on the carpet with her.

…and the time has come for our first baby to leave the nest 🪺🥹.

Aimée started following us some months ago, last September, and sent us an incredible lovely email the same week Dom was gone, something that honestly warmed my heart.
She has been patiently waiting until she finally knew she would be keeping one of our babies in this litter (only 4 weeks ago); something that seemed really difficult in the beginning, being the last reservation accepted for a female, with a very limited number of puppies expected. But she never lost hope.

Uma 💜 Pawppaloosa Grown Hope LUA- will live with Aimée, Aitor and their Border Collie Kaila in Barcelona, only a few km of distance from us, 20 min far from home 🤗.

Aimée has had a lifelong dream, and has been wishing to own a Dalmatian since she was a child. Some say dreams do come true if you follow them, and this is indeed an example of a beautiful dream fulfilled ✨.

Uma is a lovely, feminine and active but very balanced girl, with a raising confident personality and a correct structure; she has proved being really brave specially lately, after the contact with a caterpillar two weeks ago, from which she has recovered very well.

She will join the Pawppaloosa team at shows with her new owner, and I know they both will be the happiest duo, learning and having fun together 🥰.
