Caspian desert monitor lizard (Varanus caspius), good behavior and first eggs. Bad eggs but it is very good sign for to breed the specie in the next future

After spending more than 30 minutes searching for her clutch today, our Exuma Island Iguana (Cyclura cychlura figginsi) give us great joy with a clutch of 10 eggs. We are absolutely thrilled and we also expecting more clutches from our other rock iguana species (cornuta and nubila)

These is the solar conditions in our outside facilities, today with maximum temperatures on the stones of 58 °C y 7.9 UVB.

We keep some amazing arid species from many parts of the world, from arid Iran territory (Varanus caspius), to Caribbean Islands (Cyclura species) or desert American habitats ( Sauromalus sp.).

All of them love this conditions and stay under this sun for different parts of the day. The other they use shelters, natural vegetation or other shadows places in their enclosures.

Very interesting to see their natural behaviours.
