Wanting To Make A Difference
I have been passionate to help reduce plastic for some time now and when I saw a post earlier this year on the group page ‘Recycling & Going Green’ about growing luffas, I decided to have a go. Having the land to plant on, a partner with experience on growing veg to sell to market and the perfect Spanish climate, I had a chance of succeeding.
Reading more about Luffas, I realised these are a perfect plastic free alternative enabling me to replace bath sponges, washing up scourers & brushes. Even better, they are 100% natural & biodegradable.
After planting in May, its been an eventful journey over the last 6 months which has included high winds & hailstorms, but I have made it. I have produced a crop of Luffas which are now ready to share and distribute with you all, here in Spain, Europe & UK. I hope my page shares my story enabling me to spread the word, that Luffas once were and are now a household favourite again and that I have made a difference.
