Cattery Mo is a Maine C**n Cattery which has been founded in 2016 out of pure love and fascination with these majestic cats. We strive to uphold the old lines as much as possible, and to breed sociable and loving companions with a serious umpf.

With heavy hearts we have to let you know that we’ve made the difficult decision to say goodbye to our pater familias our big red boy our beloved Mo.
His name is, was, and will always be carried by all offspring that saw their sparkle of life originate from our cattery.
His arthritis has been causing him pain for many years, and despite all treatments the progression continues. Keeping him here with us any longer would only be for ourselves, and that wouldn’t be fair to him.

We always knew that one day we would have to send this message, but it doesn’t make it any easier now that the time has come.
Together with the vets we have decided this is the kindest and most loving choice for him. He deserves peace, without pain.

On his last day he was surrounded by endless cuddles and treated to an “all he could eat” buffet — his greatest hobby was always food, and we are glad he could enjoy that one more time.

We will miss him terribly, but we are also deeply grateful for all the beautiful years we were able to share with him.

As we already announced last week our Mo’s Marble Canyon gave birth to 4 amazing and gorgeous kittens last week.
The combination is fantastic, and we are forever grateful to have obtained this thanks to Omkara Maine C***s

We have 3 boys and 1 girl (a tortie!!!)
The litter will have names of Bougainvillea types in loving memory of Kootenai 💫& Dex 💫

Dear Cattery Mo friends and followers,

It’s been a while since last we posted, but there are some things that need to be said. Keeping our word in that we would be slowing down with our move to Spain, we and the C***s have been settling in and adjusting ourselves to our new sunny, beautiful and tranquil surroundings. Modifying our home, improving it slowly but surely. Our C***s also needed some time to adjust, but now nothing could ever get them back to our smaller garden in the Netherlands. They are happy and enjoying themselves thoroughly with all the outside life and space they have gained here in Spain.

Now to the news that needs to be addressed,
we unfortunately/fortunately have been confronted with the sadness and cruelty of life as well as with its beauty and wonder.
We were struck by the sudden loss of our beloved Mo’s Kootenai (Koekie) a couple of weeks ago, which saddened us beyond belief.
In the midst of the process of trying to find a place for what just had happened, we were forced to deal with the excruciating decision to let go of our deeply cherished *s Acoonitums Dagny (Dex) as well.
Both girls were very special to us and have been at the core of our cattery, making us proud and happy with each litter of offspring they brought in to the world. Our Yin & Yang our Black & White have once again joined forces over the rainbow bridge. We have placed them in their final rest and hunting grounds next to each other, symbolized with two different colored bougainvillea’s.

Enter the epitome of the Circle of Life. Last night Koekie’s daughter Mo’s Marble Canyon gave birth to four beautiful souls, she went into labor around 12PM and finished at 3AM, letting us welcome in to the world two boys and two girls. Babies and mamma are doing well, we as human parents on the other hand are absolutely over the moon with joy for the new life in our home, but also really emotionally drained with trying to process all that has occurred these last couple of weeks.

Dear Cattery Mo followers, friends and lovers.
It has been a while since last we have posted anything on our page and for that our apologies, but things have gotten interesting and wild in the last couple of months. We jumped on a dream opportunity and that has taken up a lot of our focus and time these past months. Cattery Mo has moved to Spain 🇪🇸, where the cats have gained a fourteen fold of outdoor space give or take, and room indoors to relax and just be. We are very fortunate to have had this cross our paths, and are absolutely over the moon with our new home, where we can be even more connected towards each other and our cats with the inspiring sights and sounds of nature around us. To make this move of eleven Maine C***s even possible we cannot leave out the person that has made it her job, or calling rather, of doing this in the most responsible, respectful and above all genuinely loving manner towards both our cats (children) as ourselves (the worrying parents). Odette, of VITA transport, is a one of kind genuine true spirit with whom we are now very fortunate to call our friend. She absolutely rocks, and if ever you as a reader find yourselves in need of a professional with a heart of pure gold to take care of such a valuable payload (your pet(s) a.k.a child(ren), we absolutely and without a doubt would recommend her.

So that’s it ladies and gentlemen, Cattery Mo is now in Spain. We will be taking things very easy from here on in, and have as of yet no clue as to how and in what form Cattery Mo will continue. For those of you still here at the end of this text, thank you for your interest, support and/or love. We are here, where our hearts beat more at peace both for us humans as our furry kids, we are not quitting yet, but we are slowing down a bit.
