🇪🇸 El en y no es igual. Es un proceso natural que marca la etapa fértil de nuestras mascotas, pero se manifiesta de forma distinta en cada especie.
🐶 En perras:
-Suele aparecer cada 6 meses (aunque puede variar entre 4 y 12).
-Presentan sangrado y la v***a inflamada.
-Pueden mostrarse más cariñosas, nerviosas o inquietas.
-La duración media del celo es de unas 3 semanas.
🐱 En gatas:
-El celo es mucho más frecuente: cada 2-3 semanas en épocas con más horas de luz.
-No hay sangrado, pero sí cambios de conducta muy llamativos: maullidos fuertes, frotamientos constantes, intentos de escape e incluso marcaje con o***a.
-La fase receptiva dura unos 6 días, pero como se repite tanto, da la sensación de que están siempre en celo.
⚠️ Tanto en gatas como en perras, el celo puede resultar difícil de manejar. Por eso, la esterilización no solo evita embarazos no deseados, también protege su salud y ayuda a controlar la superpoblación.

🇬🇧 The cycle in and is not the same. It is a natural process that marks the fertile stage of our pets, but it manifests itself differently in each species.
🐶 In female dogs:
-It usually occurs every 6 months (although it can vary between 4 and 12 months).
-They experience bleeding and inflammation of the v***a.
-They may become more affectionate, nervous or restless.
-The average duration of heat is about 3 weeks.
🐱 In cats:
-Heat is much more frequent: every 2-3 weeks during periods with more daylight hours.
-There is no bleeding, but there are very noticeable behavioural changes: loud meowing, constant rubbing, attempts to escape and even urine marking.
-The receptive phase lasts about 6 days, but as it is repeated so often, it seems as if they are always in heat.
⚠️ In both female cats and dogs, heat can be difficult to manage. Therefore, sterilisation not only prevents unwant-ed pregnancies, but also protects their health and helps control overpopulation.
