📖 No es solo una frase bonita. Detrás de ella hay una historia que se remonta a 1870 y al caso de Old Drum, un perro cuyo vínculo con su dueño llegó incluso a los tribunales.

🐾 Pero quizá la verdadera respuesta esté en nuestro día a día: compañía, confianza, cariño y una presencia que nos acompaña durante años.

Aunque no hablen con palabras, los gatos se comunican constantemente a través de su cuerpo. Aprender a interpretar sus señales te ayudará a entender mejor cómo se sienten y a cuidar de su bienestar. Por ejemplo:

🔸 Cola en alto: confianza y felicidad.
🔸 Orejas hacia delante: curiosidad y tranquilidad.
🔸 Parpadeo lento: una muestra de cariño y confianza.
🔸 Cola moviéndose bruscamente: mejor dale un poco de espacio.
🔸 Cuerpo encogido o escondido: puede tener miedo o sentirse inseguro.

Recuerda que no debes fijarte en una sola señal, sino en el conjunto de su lenguaje corporal y en la situación en la que se encuentra.

Para él, un paseo no consiste solo en caminar. Cada árbol, farola o rincón está lleno de información: qué perros han pasado por allí, cuánto hace, cómo se sentían e incluso si estaban sanos.

🇪🇸 ¿Tu no quiere comer? No lo ignores 🐱🍽️
Aunque a veces puede deberse a estrés, un cambio en su alimentación o simplemente a que algo no le gusta, la falta de apetito también puede ser una señal de dolor o enfermedad.

🔎 Algunas causas frecuentes:
▪️ Cambios en el entorno o situaciones de estrés
▪️ Cambio brusco de alimento
▪️ Problemas dentales
▪️ Problemas digestivos
▪️ Otras enfermedades

💡 ¿Qué puedes hacer?
✔️ Ofrécele su comida en un lugar tranquilo.
✔️ Revisa que el comedero esté limpio y sea cómodo.
✔️ Puedes probar con comida húmeda si está acostumbrado a ella.
❌ No le fuerces a comer.
⚠️ Si lleva alrededor de 24 horas sin comer, o presenta vómitos, diarrea, apatía, babeo o cualquier otro síntoma, consulta con tu veterinario.
En los gatos, la falta de apetito no debe tomarse a la ligera. 🩺🐾

💡 What can you do?
✔️ Offer them their food in a quiet place.

✔️ You could try wet food if they’re used to it.
❌ Don’t force them to eat.

⚠️ If they haven’t eaten for around 24 hours, or are showing signs of vomiting, diarrhoea, lethargy, drooling or any other symptoms, consult your vet.

Las altas temperaturas pueden convertirse en una auténtica emergencia para y . Recuerda que ellos no regulan el calor como nosotros y un golpe de calor puede poner su vida en peligro en cuestión de minutos.

🐾 Para prevenirlo:
💧 Ten siempre agua fresca a su disposición.
🌳 Busca zonas de sombra y lugares bien ventilados.
🚶 Pasea a primera hora de la mañana o al anochecer.
🚗 Nunca dejes a tu mascota dentro del coche, aunque sea solo unos minutos.

• Jadeo excesivo.
• Debilidad o desorientación.
• Vómitos o diarrea.

Los envejecen mucho más rápido que nosotros durante sus primeros años, y sus necesidades cambian con cada etapa:

🍼 Hasta los 6 meses: cachorro. Crecimiento, aprendizaje y socialización.
🎾 De 6 meses a 2 años: joven. Mucha energía, juego y descubrimiento.
😺 De 3 a 6 años: adulto. Plena forma física y personalidad definida.
🐾 De 7 a 10 años: maduro. Empiezan a aparecer los primeros cambios asociados a la edad.
❤️ A partir de los 11 años: senior. Necesita revisiones más frecuentes y cuidados adaptados.
👑 Desde los 15 años: geriátrico. La comodidad, el bienestar y la prevención son más importantes que nunca.

Las altas temperaturas pueden afectar seriamente a y , así que recuerda estas claves para mantenerlos seguros:

💧 Agua fresca siempre disponible.
🌅 Paseos a primera hora o al atardecer.
🚗 Nunca los dejes solos en el coche, ni unos minutos.
🌳 Busca siempre sombra y lugares ventilados.
🦟 Mantén al día su protección antiparasitaria.
🐾 Evita el asfalto caliente para proteger sus almohadillas.
🧴 Cepilla su pelaje regularmente y evita cortes excesivos.
🌡️ Aprende a reconocer los síntomas de un golpe de calor: jadeo excesivo, apatía, vómitos o encías muy rojas.

Y recuerda: algunas razas, especialmente las braquicéfalas como bulldogs, carlinos o bóxers, son especialmente sensi-bles al calor.

📍 Algunas señales de alerta son:
🔺 Desorientación en lugares conocidos.
🔺 Cambios de comportamiento o carácter.
🔺 Alteraciones del sueño.
🔺 Pérdida de memoria.
🔺 Necesidades dentro de casa.
🔺 Ansiedad o inquietud.
