A ship carrying thousands of cars sank in the Pacific Ocean on Monday, weeks after a fire erupted on a deck storing electric vehicles, raising industry concerns about the safe transport of highly flammable EV batteries.

The 600-foot-long vessel, Morning Midas, had been drifting at sea since June 3, when the crew was forced to abandon ship due to the fire.

🌈 Rest in peace, Sam 🐾 Sam passed away naturally two days ago at the age of 18.
To the end, he fought, with courage and love. Two days ago, he was still playing with his ball.
With a heavy heart, took him to the clinic.. but before that, one last stop at the park, one last cheeseburger (which he didn't want to eat). He left after trying to relieve him, too fragile to continue...
He didn't suffer for long, and I felt in his look that it said it all. We fought together until the end. I miss him terribly but I know we left with all the love in the world. ❤️

New York City Mayor Eric Adams tore into millennial socialist Zohran Mamdani, branding him a “snake oil salesman” following Mamdani’s stunning primary upset over former Governor Andrew Cuomo.

“He was saying anything to get elected,” Adams said during a Wednesday appearance on Fox & Friends, criticizing Mamdani’s campaign as built on unrealistic progressive promises.

I am at a loss, I really don’t even know where to begin or what to say. We learned why that Evan hasn’t been feeling well here lately. My baby has relapsed. The Leukemia is not only in his bone marrow this time but also in his spinal fluid. He is having severe headaches and back pain. He just doesn’t feel well at all. He has a very long road ahead. The treatment this time will be far more intense than the first go around and he will also have to have a bone marrow transplant. No child should have to fight cancer once, let alone having to go through it all over again. When I told him that he had cancer again, he just cried. I stood in the shower last night for what seemed like forever, trying to wash off the reality of the day, but it didn’t work. And reality has set in hard this morning. Please send good vibes and prayers his way, he will need all that he can get.

An 18-month-old boy tragically died after being left inside a parked truck in the scorching Florida heat while his father drank beer and took shots at a bar. In a shocking act of callousness, the man returned to the same bar for another round of drinks even after the toddler’s death.

On my way home, I witnessed a vehicle hit a motorcycle from behind and send the driver 25 feet into the air landing him in a ditch. I immediately called 911, pulled over and climbed down to stay with him until they arrived. He wasn’t moving and I assumed the worst.
A medical professional happened to be driving by and pulled over to help as we waited. I stayed and held Joe’s hand and asked him questions to keep him awake and with us. He told me about his wife, joked about his motorcycle and asked me to take photos so he had a cool story to tell.
Once EMS arrived, I backed away and a woman watching said " I’m shocked you did all that." She saw my confused face and replied with "Honey, this is the south. I’m just saying. I’m shocked you did all that for him" and my heart sank. I was speechless. I didn’t care what he looked like. I didn’t care how long I had to sit there. I didn’t care about social distancing. He needed help.
We don’t have to look the same to be kind to one another. Not a single person is born hating others because of race, political views or background. People learn to hate. My favorite saying by Nelson Mandela, 'If they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love.' Love everyone, including yourself. Humanity is my race and love knows no boundaries."

This boy showed up at my house last Friday. No collar, no clues—just quietly curled up on my front porch.

He stayed all day. I gave him food, water, and picked off some ticks. He left that night.

(Just to get ahead of the questions—I have two dogs, a cat, and three small kids. I didn’t know how he’d act around them, and he was covered in fleas and ticks. I also posted in all the local Facebook groups and called animal control. No one came.)

Still, something about him stayed with me. He was gentle. Quiet. Grateful.

I hoped he’d found a home... but tonight, he came back. Same porch. Same eyes.

He’s sleeping now on a cot I set out for him. And I think it’s time to admit something...

I’m kind of in love with him.

And now, I think... he needs a name.

Suggestions welcome. Let’s find something worthy of this unexpected friend.

One morning, while taking a walk, my dog just stopped. Under a bush, three abandoned kittens were trembling, alone and fragile. 🐾❤️

He, this gentle and patient giant, laid down beside them, offering his warmth without a sound. Since then, they do not leave him, finding in him a father, a refuge. 🐕🧡🐱

He's not their mother, nor even their kind, but he loves them as if they were his own. An unlikely family, born from a big heart. 💛✨

Love has no form and rules. Just a heart big enough to give. And him, this heart... it's overflowing. 💖

This is my son, Finn. And he’s my hero.

Finn likes to wear dresses. He’s told us time and again:
“I’m just a boy who likes to wear dresses.”
Not confused. Not unsure. Just himself.

At the start of the school year, some kids didn’t get it. Their words stung. For a while, Finn stopped wearing dresses. He wore pants, trying to blend in.

But as the year went on, something beautiful happened—Finn came back to himself. Step by step, he found the courage to be who he truly is. The smile that returned to his face lit up our whole family.

A while ago, I asked him if I could share a picture of him in his favorite pink dress. At first, he said no—“only with one person.”
But later, when I told him, “Maybe another boy out there feels afraid like you did. Maybe seeing your picture could help him feel less alone,” he smiled and said:
“Dad… maybe you should share it.”

So here I am. Sharing Finn’s story. Sharing his bravery.

I also want to thank his school—Queen Margaret’s—for creating a space of acceptance and joy. They embraced Finn completely. Let him wear the uniform how he feels best. They even held a Pride Day filled with rainbows, kindness, and love.

To anyone struggling to understand:
This is not about fashion. This is about freedom.

Freedom to be who you are.
To feel safe in your skin.
To shine.

If you know a boy—or man—who loves dresses but feels afraid, show them Finn. Show them they’re not alone.

In our house, we don’t just accept differences—we celebrate them.
And if anyone has a problem with that? They’ll meet this proud papa bear.
