Last night was a hard night. We had gone out antiquing for the day, and had come home around 6:43 pm. At approximately 7:50 pm Teddy started to act weird. He was obsessively licking Michelle’s arm. Then he started to cry and shake. Then he started to get a weird shake and wouldn’t move or walk. While crying. His crying then turned to screaming and gagging. His screaming turned into barking and back to screaming and barely responsive, and agonally breathing.

Somehow, and I don’t know if this is a canine thing but he became unresponsive, eyes open, agonally breathing but screaming and drooling excessively. The closest emergency vet currently is an hour away. I didn’t think he’d make it there. I held him and loved on him the entire way there.

He stopped breathing on the way there. For several minutes. Then as we got to ER vets he began to scream and breathe agonally again. The vets office did an amazing job. They were so busy with a 12 hour wait. They saw him and immediately called for emergency staff stating that they had an agonal breather. Got him back immediately and got us taken care so fast.

My baby boy passed in my arms, peacefully finally by 9 pm. They gave him alprazolam on arrive and he only minimally responded to it. He finally calmed with the propofol. He was such a good boy and didn’t deserve this and I feel so bad that this is what happened to him. He was the bestest boy ❤️

I know it’s not ours, or anyone else’s fault. He was just about 19 years old. It was unpredictable and happened so suddenly. But it hurts my heart to see him go through that. 💔

He was one of my special needs/senior rescues. We had also saved him momma from a puppy mill. She passed from a brain tumor.

Not all heroes wear capes. Some simply notice when someone needs help.

In 1994, Fred Rogers introduced television audiences to four remarkable people in his PBS special Fred Rogers' Heroes: Who's Helping America's Children?

They weren't movie stars or famous athletes.

They were ordinary people who had devoted their lives to helping children.

Among them were a school principal on the Navajo Reservation, a Chicago community organizer, a dance teacher in Los Angeles and the founder of a therapeutic farm for troubled young people.

Rogers wanted viewers to see the extraordinary difference these individuals were making in their communities.

He believed responsibility extended beyond our own families and homes. When someone else's child needed help, that concern belonged to the wider community, too.

His message was simple: we don't need fame, wealth or extraordinary abilities to make someone's life better.

Sometimes, being a hero means noticing a problem that others have overlooked and deciding to do something about it.

More than three decades later, his message remains a reminder that the smallest acts of care can have a lasting impact.

A better neighborhood begins with someone willing to be a good neighbor.

During her White House years, Jacqueline Kennedy's elegant skirt suits, carefully chosen hats and formal dresses had made her an international fashion icon.

But after leaving Washington, her style began to change.

She moved to New York in 1964 and married Aristotle Onassis in 1968.

By the early 1970s, Jackie was embracing a very different wardrobe.
