Lacey Grace did great on her 2nd day of kindergarten. Today she decided to leave her stuffie home this way the teacher couldn't take it. 😆 Daddy picked up Lacey early from school. She had an appointment to get new leg braces molded. She was very brave and didnt get upset at the appointment. Then she picked out a pretty blue butterfly pattern brace. They also measured her for new twister cables. Now we wait 3 weeks to get the custom braces back.

Oreo Cookie is safe in his foster home! 😀

On Wednesday, Oreo Cookie was picked up from the shelter by his amazing foster parents who had a full day of driving to get there and back. They saw Oreo’s picture and story, applied immediately, went through AACSR’s process and dropped everything to accommodate him. He is now decompressing in a safe and loving environment where he can start to heal.

A huge thank you to our wonderful volunteers JoAnne and Roberta who jumped into action to not only rescue Oreo on short notice, but even sent Oreo a welcome gift of toys and treats to have upon his arrival in his foster home! We were happy to hear that after his long rescue car ride (on his foster mom’s lap while dad drove) he started enjoying them and playing.

After all that Oreo has been through, it warms our hearts to see him finally comfortable and being cared for the way he deserves. His suffering was needless and cruel. Kindness matters and love heals.❤️

We can’t wait to watch this sweet boy blossom.❤️
