Jasmine & Honey update!

2 of the 4 sisters that have been at the rescue since pups are settling in well into their respective homes: Honey (now called Anouk) in Holland & Jasmine (white feet) in the UK.
Both girls are doing incredibly well & both new mums are giving them plenty of time to decompress after this massive life change for them ❤️ they are sleeping a lot (as you can see) and experiencing new things every day.
They have such good temperaments & so deserve this chance!

Their 2 sisters Poppy & Rose are currently being taken care of by Amanda at APSA rescue in Almeria, they are waiting for their chance of a forever home.

UPDATE!

The rescue will officially be closed on June 4th & all dogs will have been relocated.

DONATIONS & FINANCES:
- The Sabadell bank account will be closed by mid June once all vet & food bills are settled

- Teaming: we are in the process of changing the Teaming account details to Second Chance Animal Rescue, where the remaining dogs are moving to. So if you currently donate to Teaming & wish to continue you don’t need to do anything & they will receive the funds from June

- Paypal - I will keep Paypal running for now until all monthly donations have been cancelled. Any money left over will go to the rescues that have taken our dogs (list below)

Apart from a lot of amazing individual homes Pats dogs have gone to sanctuaries or rescues where they will be lovingly cared for for the rest of their lives or until they are adopted ❤️

Second Chance Animal Rescue are raising funds to start their rescue in Alicante. They are taking the remaining dogs from Pats Rescue when the rescue closes this week …. thank you for your support 🙏

Quick update:

Marley & Buffy left yesterday
Ziggy, Rosa & Courtney leave next week

All other dogs that are left at the rescue will be leaving with Jay & Barbara next week & the rescue will be officially closed 😢

Bruno will also go with Jay & Barbara to Second Chance Rescue as no local foster home has been found yet!

Later today I will clarify the closure & timeline of financial accounts, donations & social media etc..

Thank you to everyone who has been involved & helped - it’s totally a team effort! - I will do a few specific ‘Thank you’ posts over the next week!

Yesterday we moved Marley & Buffy to their new foster home with Monica Andreewitch

They were so well behaved in the van & when we arrived. They had a good first night & are settling in well & enjoying the peace (the chicken helps too 😜)

These guys have improved so much since there has been less dogs at the rescue & Jay & Barbara have been able to spend more time with them to prepare them for leaving 🙏🙏

We will keep posting about their journey & progress with Monica ❤️

Some sad news this morning - Bobby passed away last night. Jay & Barbara found him in his house & it looked like he was sleeping 💔

RIP lovely boy ❤️

Sadly, Bobby passed away peacefully in his sleep last night.

He spent the last three years at Pat’s Rescue Retreat and, although he was always a nervous dog, he really enjoyed his life here with his siblings Buffy, Marley and Ziggy.

Over time he settled into his routines, enjoyed the company of his siblings, and spent his days safe, comfortable and cared for. We’re very grateful that he got to spend his years with people and dogs who knew and loved him.

He’ll be missed by all of us here.

A SOLUTION FOR ZIGGY & BOBBY! ❤️

We are very happy that there is a solution for 2 of our scared boys - Ziggy & Bobby, that gives them a chance of rehabilitation & then hopefully they can find forever homes 🤞

Next week they will go to Siobhan at Calma Dogs in Alozaina for boarding & training & stay as long as is necessary to get them ready for adoption.

We are looking for sponsorship for these 2 boys to cover the cost of their training etc. so please message me if you are in a position to sponsor or if you are a company that can sponsor a dog?

SECOND UPDATE TONIGHT!

We are in the closing stages of the rescue and this is where we are with the remaining dogs at the rescue:

•Great news that Jay & Barbara (Jay has worked at the rescue for 18 months & Barbara has been there since January) - they are setting up their own rescue in Alicante called ‘Second Chance’ - I will post all the details shortly. They will be taking some of our most scared dogs: Mattie, Saskia, Bobby, Luca, Bert & Arnie ❤️

• Honey left today to go to her new home in Holland with Christel ❤️

•Rosa will leave next week to go to Jane Bussman & join her pack ❤️

•Marley & Buffy are going to Monica Andreewitch ❤️

•We have a solution for Ziggy & Bobby - more details to follow in a separate post

•We have a potential home for Bruno but there’s a timing issue so we need a local foster home for him or he will go to Alicante with Jay & Barbara if a foster home not found

It’s AMAZING how everyone has come together to help Pats dogs ❤️
