Some dogs have already experienced too much disappointment at a very young age. Henny is one of them.

Born in January 2023, this handsome medium-sized boy found himself abandoned and alone. He was picked up by the dog collection service and brought safely to our shelter. We later learned that after being found, he had been handed over to people who eventually abandoned him once again. 💔

Despite being let down by humans, Henny has remained a loving, trusting, and obedient dog. He has a wonderful character and an easy-going nature that makes him a joy to be around. He is the kind of dog who simply wants to be part of a family and share life’s adventures with someone who truly cares.

Henny’s medium size makes him a perfect companion for many different lifestyles. Whether it’s walks in nature, relaxing at home, or exploring new places together, he will happily be by your side. 🐾

After everything he has been through, Henny deserves a family that will never abandon him again.

Kiko is a dog whose story is heartbreaking, but whose spirit remains unbroken.

He came into our care in April 2022 after a severe abuse case in Vélez Málaga. The Seprona asked us to take him in after he was found in a shocking condition. His muzzle had been tightly tied shut with a rope, his legs had been bound, he was dangerously underweight, and he suffered from a painful wound on his leg that took a long time to heal.

Despite everything he endured, Kiko never gave up.

Today, he is healthy, strong, and incredibly intelligent. He is a powerful Belgian Malinois with a sharp mind and a loyal heart. Shelter life simply cannot provide the level of mental stimulation and activity that a dog like Kiko truly deserves.

Kiko is looking for an adult-only home with people who understand active, intelligent dogs and are searching for a devoted companion. Once he trusts you, he will be your most loyal friend and protector.

🌈 DEP Tigresa, dulce perrita. Estuviste con nosotros cuatro años. A los siete, tuviste que dejar este mundo por una insuficiencia renal aguda.
Deseábamos un final diferente. Cuando llegaste con nosotros, muy embarazada y con una pata rota, demostraste ser una madre ejemplar y criaste a ocho preciosos cachorros.
Pero fueron adoptados y Tigresa pasó desapercibida. Eras demasiado “look perro prohibido” para muchos países. Demasiado discreta para destacar entre los cientos de perros que necesitan una familia.
Espero que encuentres la felicidad al otro lado del Puente Arcoíris 🌈🌈.
El equipo de Cantalobos te echará de menos y te recordará siempre 💗.

🌈 RIP Tigresa, sweet girl. 4 years you have been with us. At 7 you had to leave this world, due to acute renal failure.
We have wished a different outcome. After you came to us, very pregnant and with a broken leg, you proofed to be a champion mum, and raised 8 beautiful babies.
But they got adopted, and Tigresa got invisible. A bit too much PPP look for most countries. A bit too shy/unasuming to stand out of the hundreds of dogs needing a family.
I hope you find your happiness now across the Rainbow Bridge 🌈🌈.
The Cantalobos team will miss and remember you always 💗.
