Took Estrella out for her first hack today round the village. Oh my God....I love that mare. We passed a tractor, some kids on noisy plastic push along trucks, cyclists and other traffic. Two lots of dogs rushed out of gardens and ran round her feet barking. She did not bat an eyelid at any of it. I am so proud of her!!!!!! At the rate she is going, she will be ready for sale in a week or two. :D

UPDATE: Today we took Estrella for a 2 mile walk on the roads. She coped beautifully with the traffic, dogs etc. She really enjoyed herself and only got a little excited when we passed some mares and foals. She is also now working well in walk and trot in the school. Very responsive to leg aids and very forward going, while being very light in the mouth. Superstar. :D

Estrella really is a little star. Only been here with us for 2 weeks and already she has accepted saddle and rider. Still lots of work to be done, but she just accepts everything that is put to her. She will make a lovely little mare for a very lucky person.

All 4 new girls settled in very well and making good progress already. Started lungeing today. Feeling very pleased with them all. So far, Estrella is the quietest, and Hechizera moves particularly well.
