SIERRA DE LAS BATUECAS RIDE-DAY 6!! This was just amazing day!! we would love to do it all over again! this was an incredibly beautiful an unique day, secret corner of Spain: Biosphere Reserve UNESCO "Sierra de las Batuecas and Sierra de Francia” the whole area has a great scenic and ecological value with a great cultural wealth and an important historical-artistic heritage, the combination of both has been amazing!! Thank you very much for doing it possible 🥂

SIERRA DE LAS BATUECAS RIDE-DAY 5! This was a comfortable day with fewer hours in the saddle allowing for a more relaxing midweek day (about 4,5 hours) The ride run between meadows with abundant cattle and stone walls in the morning, with opportunities for canters, in more open and flat landscape,. After riding along chestnut and old ash trees we got the medival bridge over the Sangusín River where we had another lovely picnic and siesta. The surroundings are very pleasant, with oak and ash trees and stone walls. After our break, crossing the bridge, we access Horcajo de Montemayor, this is the beginning of a beautiful afternoon, riding uphill through an Oak grove with chestnut and ash trees until we enter in Colmenar de Montemayor with stunning views all over Batuecas Mountains landscape

SIERRA DE LAS BATUECAS DAY 4!! Our journey to Sierra de las Batuecas continues following along the Cañada Real with a combination of mountains views in the distance and meadows lined by stone walls all around, quite flat the first part of the morning
where we could enjoy some fun canters along the way until delicious tapas break, and then up to a beautiful forest of oaks and holm oaks in Sierra de Tonda. Lunch break in the countryside followed by siesta and back in the saddle for another couple of hours though and stunning landscape 360º views 😍.
Looking forward to tomorrow's adventures 😀

SIERRA DE LAS BATUECAS RIDE-DAY 3!! what an spectacular day we had! Autumn colours are amazing in this time of the year 🍂
Summary of a wonderful day: Aftee breakfast at the charming rural Inn, horses tacked up, ready to go! we mounted up for a lovely riding day along ancient cattle paths between fields in avery rural area. After about 2 and a half hours ride, we crossed the medieval town of Puente del Congosto, a medieval town in
Salamanca province with its fortified
bridge and Castles over the Tormes river
that dates back to the medieval era in XII c. We took here our well known tapas break! And after we
continued riding along the Cañada Real Soriana Occidental, medieval cattle drove, along
the Tormes river, where we could enjoy stunning scenery, couple of hours later we had a luxury pic-nic cooked at the spot with good local wines, salads, desert, coffee and birthday cake! Time for siesta and swimming and then riding in the afternoon, an unique day!! #

SIERRA DE LAS BATUECAS DAY 2!!
Riding in the morning with great mountain views, riding down to the Corneja valley for another luxury pic-nic with an excellent bbq cooked at the spot, quality Avilen̈a beef and Iberian pork grilled. After a relaxing lunch break with siesta, riding to
Hoyorredondo with some good canters. Time in the
saddle 6 hours. Night and dinner at the hotel in
Hoyorredondo, in a lovely rural Inn with the horses in
the background, in the Corneja River Valley! Wonderful day, thank you very much everyone for making it possible! ✨️

OUR NEW ADVENTURE HAS BEGUN!! Sierra de Las Batuecas ride 9 days/ 8 nights/ 7 riding days.
️DAY 1✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️
The trail started this morning in Navarredonda de Gredos (our base) and will end next Saturday in La Alberca (Salamanca province), located in the beautiful Natural Park of Las Batuecas-Sierra de Francia.
During this incredible journey, we will get to know this
secret corner of Spain: Natural Reserve of the whole area has a great scenic and ecological value with a great cultural wealth and an important historical-artistic heritage! Thank you very much everyone for coming and for coming back!!

CASTLES OF GREDOS RIDE- Day 4- this beautiful ride takes place in Central Spain, South of Castlle region. Castile is famously named after its historic abundance of fortresses, today we rode full day with a great combination of canters along the flat Corneja valley and climbing up back to the Mountains in the afternoon after a gourmet picnic and siesta. A wonderful day! Thank you!

A quick update and summary from Day 3 of the Castles of Gredos Ride! We had another wonderful day out on the trails with this lovely group of riders! Thank you for the day!
