📣 Stop Letting Groomers Squeeze Healthy Glands!
Many dog parents believe routine a**l gland expression is necessary — but in most healthy dogs, that’s simply not true.
🐶 In a healthy system, a**l glands naturally empty during normal bowel movements.
But frequent manual expression (especially by groomers) can:
⚠️ Cause trauma to delicate tissue
⚠️ Lead to chronic inflammation
⚠️ Create long-term gland dysfunction
⚠️ Increase the risk of infection due to bacteria introduction
Unless there's a medical reason, healthy glands should be left alone. Routine squeezing may cause more harm than good in the long run.
🔍 Noticing a strong odor or other signs your dog’s glands aren't emptying properly? It could be a sign of an underlying issue — always consult your vet.

Yesterday at Eastwind Park Abu Rawash, we were honored to welcome a field visit from Cheerful heart center one of the special needs centers for a structured session designed especially for neurodivergent participants. heart.center

Guided by our behavioral specialists and therapy dog team, the session focused on building communication, emotional, and essential life skills—through the power of animal-assisted interaction in a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment.
