🚨 Urgent Help Needed: Fans for Our Shelter Animals 🚨

We desperately need 6 wall-mounted fans for our shelter.

The heat is already becoming unbearable, and the animals are struggling. Today I was there and could barely stay inside for 10 minutes at a time because of the temperature. If it’s that difficult for people, imagine how hard it is for the animals who live there all day.

We need:
🐱 3 fans for the cats’ room
🏥 2 fans for the clinic area
🐶 1 fan for the isolation room in our main building, where we keep dogs suffering from TVT and other medical conditions

The weather is still somewhat manageable this month, but the extreme summer heat is just beginning, and temperatures are rising rapidly. We must prepare now before it becomes dangerous for the animals.

This is not a luxury—it is a necessity and a matter of their health and well-being.

We’ve just come out of the holiday period, and during the past days we had many emergency cases that needed surgeries. I will be sharing updates about those cases soon, but right now our biggest and most urgent concern is FOOD.

We are facing a serious shortage, and somehow we need to secure enough food for this month.

I want everyone to know that we prepare fresh food every single day. Because we buy in large quantities, we receive the lowest possible prices from our supplier. Please trust that we do everything we can to make every donation go as far as possible.

Our workers are experienced and have been doing this for years. They know how to carefully prepare chicken, chicken feet, vegetables, bread, and warm broth so that every animal receives a filling, nutritious meal without unnecessary expense. With more than 500 animals in our care, every meal matters.

This month, we urgently need to raise $3,000 for food. If just 100 people committed to donating $30 per month, we could cover our food costs and remove a huge burden from the shelter.

Of course, any amount helps. Even $5 can make a difference. Every single dollar brings us closer to feeding these animals who have nowhere else to go.

Today one of my workers sent me photos from part of the shelter where ticks have started gathering because of the sudden heat wave we’ve had recently. It appeared so suddenly. At first it was just a small issue, and we sprayed the main area and planned to spray the rest after Eid because right now we have urgent priorities to pay for — especially the clinic bills, which are extremely expensive, and several dogs who urgently need surgeries.

This is the current situation now. Of course, not all the dogs are affected, but some of them already have ticks attached to their bodies. Today the workers spent the entire day cleaning, but without spraying, the problem will never go away.

Unfortunately, the shelter is located in an agricultural area surrounded by plants and fields everywhere, so no matter what we do, ticks will always exist around us. The only solution is spraying every two weeks for at least 3 months. We simply cannot afford Bravecto tablets for all the dogs, so we use anti-tick powder for the dogs’ bodies, but sadly it only works for 2–3 weeks maximum.

This situation is unavoidable and honestly one of the biggest struggles shelters face every summer.

Please, if you can, help us buy spraying materials and rent a large motor pump to spray the entire shelter properly. This process takes a full day of very hard work from the workers.

Eid is on Wednesday, so we only have 4 days left to spray the shelter before it turns into a disaster. Unfortunately during Eid everything closes for a week to 10 days.

Important note :

The cost of spraying the shelter twice is necessary because we need to repeat the treatment after two weeks, otherwise everything will return to how it was before — this is based on experience.

The total cost is 600 USD.

Our shelter is about one acre in size and home to 500 animals, so this amount is truly the minimum possible cost. We are already cutting expenses on every tool and supply as much as we can.
