🔎🇮🇹 Italian Board of Auditors Visit to 10th of Ramadan Vocational Training Centre

🌟 Yesterday, Wednesday 21 May 2025, MEPEP had the great honour of welcoming a distinguished delegation of the Italian Board of Auditors to the 10th of Ramadan Vocational Training Centre، accompanied by Dr. Tiberio Chiari, Head of AICS Cairo and welcomed by General Ehab Abdallah, Head of PVTD, and Dr. Nicola Tucci, MEPEP Team Leader.

🏢 The auditors toured the newly refurbished VTC buildings, including the SERENA building (the first-ever public eco-friendly sustainable TVET building in the 10th of Ramadan Industrial Area), and were impressed by the progress made under MEPEP programme.

💬🔧 They had the opportunity to engage with trainees, students as well as the trainers, who shared their positive experiences using the upgraded facilities and equipment provided through MEPEP’s interventions.

🌿We are grateful for this visit and for the valuable encouragement it brings to our continued efforts to strengthen the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Egypt.

🌟تشرفنا يوم أمس، الأربعاء ٢١ مايو ٢٠٢٠، باستقبال وفد رفيع المستوى من مراجعين إيطالين في مركز التدريب المهني بالعاشر من رمضان، برفقة د. تيبيريو كياري، رئيس مكتب الوكالة الإيطالية للتعاون من أجل التنمية بالقاهرة، وكان في استقبالهم كل من اللواء أ.ح. إيهاب عبد الله، رئيس مصلحة الكفاية الإنتاجية، ود. نيكولا توتشي، المنسق الفني الدولي لبرنامجMEPEP.

🏢 قام الوفد بجولة تفقدية لمباني المركز التي تم تجديدها وتطويرها مؤخرًا، بما في ذلك مبنى سيرينا، والذي يعد أول مبنى تعليم فني حكومي مستدام وصديق للبيئة من نوعه في المنطقة الصناعية بالعاشر من رمضان، وأبدوا أفراد الوفد إعجابهم بالتقدم الذي تم تحقيقه في إطار البرنامج.

💬🔧 كما أتيحت لهم الفرصة للقاء المتدربين والطلاب وكذلك المدربين، الذين شاركوا تجاربهم الإيجابية من استخدام المعدات والمنشآت المطورة التي وفرها البرنامج.

🌿 خالص امتناننا لهذه الزيارة الهامة، والتي تمثل دعمًا كبيرًا لمواصلة جهودنا في تعزيز منظومة التعليم الفني والتدريب المهني في مصر.

👩‍🌾 On 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟯𝟭 - 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟭, the 𝗪𝗔𝗧𝗗𝗘𝗩 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄 gathered farmers, researchers, and innovators at the 𝗕𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗳𝘁𝘂 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲 in 𝗗𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗲 𝗭𝗲𝗶𝘁, 𝗘𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗮.

🤝🇪🇬🇪🇺🇮🇹 Dr. Tiberio Chiari, Head of AICS Cairo Visits the 10th of Ramadan Vocational Training Centre

🌟The MEPEP Programme was honoured yesterday to welcome Dr. Tiberio Chiari, Head of AICS Cairo, for an insightful visit to the 10th of Ramadan Vocational Training Centre – a key pillar of MEPEP efforts to enhance technical education in Egypt.

The visit was held in the presence of General Ehab Abdallah, Head of the Productivity and Vocational Training Department (PVTD), and Dr. Nicola Tucci, MEPEP Team Leader.

🔎 The visit began with a fruitful meeting focused on:

🤝 Expressing appreciation for the ongoing collaboration of PVTD and our collaborator Don Bosco Institute, through the PESDO Project. It also highlighted the strategic cooperation between AICS, PVTD, and Don Bosco, which has led to tangible progress in Egypt’s TVET ecosystem, demonstrating MEPEP’s major achievements.

🌱 During the meeting, Dr. Chiari commended the programme’s strong focus on innovation and sustainability, particularly through the construction of SERENA – Sharkeya’s Eco-friendly Resilient Educational Area. As the first-ever public eco-friendly sustainable building in the 10th of Ramadan industrial area, SERENA stands as a national model for green TVET practices in Egypt.

🏫 Following the meeting, Dr. Chiari toured the refurbished three buildings of the VTC, as well as the newly constructed SERENA building, praising the impressive construction, thoughtful design, and modern equipment, all of which reflect MEPEP’s commitment to building a forward-looking and inclusive TVET sector

🛠️ During the tour, Dr. Chiari also engaged with trainers and instructors who demonstrated the use of the new state-of-the-art equipment provided by the programme.

This visit reaffirmed MEPEP/AICS's commitment to supporting impactful partnerships and driving sustainable development in Egypt through quality vocational training.✨🌿

🌟 تشرفنا اليوم في برنامج MEPEP باستقبال الدكتور تيبريو كياري، رئيس مكتب الوكالة الإيطالية للتعاون من أجل التنمية بالقاهرة، في زيارة ميدانية إلى مركز التدريب المهني بمدينة العاشر من رمضان، والذي حظى بالنصيب الأكبر من جهود البرنامج في تطوير التعليم الفني والتدريب المهني في مصر.

تمت الزيارة بحضور سيادة اللواء أ.ح. إيهاب عبد الله، رئيس مصلحة الكفاية الإنتاجية والتدريب المهني، والدكتور نيكولا توتشي، المنسق الفني الدولي لبرنامج MEPEP.

🔍بدأت الزيارة باجتماع مثمر تم خلاله:

🤝 التعبير عن التقدير العميق للدعم المستمر من جانب مصلحة الكفاية الإنتاجية، وكذلك الشراكة البنّاءة مع معهد دون بوسكو من خلال مشروع PESDO. كما تناول الاجتماع أهمية التعاون الاستراتيجي بين كلا من الوكالة الإيطالية للتعاون من أجل التنمية، ومصلحة الكفاية الإنتاجية، ومعهد دون بوسكو، والذي أسفر عن تقدم ملموس في منظومة التعليم الفني والتدريب المهني في مصر، من خلال الإنجازات الرئيسية للبرنامج.

🌱 وخلال الاجتماع، أشاد الدكتور كياري بتركيز البرنامج على الابتكار والاستدامة، خاصًة من خلال إنشاء مبنى "سيرينا"، والذي يُعد أول مبنى تعليمي فني حكومي مستدام وصديق للبيئة من نوعه في المنطقة الصناعية بالعاشر من رمضان، ليصبح نموذجًا وطنيًا يُحتذى به في مجال التعليم الفني الأخضر في مصر.

🏫 عقب الاجتماع، قام الدكتور كياري بجولة تفقدية للمباني الثلاثة التي تم تجديدها بالمركز، بالإضافة إلى زيارة مبنى "سيرينا" الجديد. وأشاد بالأعمال الإنشائية المتميزة، والتصميم المدروس، والتجهيزات الحديثة التي تعكس التزام برنامج MEPEP بتطوير قطاع التعليم الفني على أسس حديثة وشاملة.

🛠️ خلال الجولة، تفاعل الدكتور كياري مع المدربين والمعلمين بالمركز، حيث قدموا له عروضًا توضيحية حول كيفية استخدام المعدات الحديثة والمتطورة التي وفرها البرنامج.

جاءت هذه الزيارة لتؤكد من جديد التزام كل من برنامج MEPEP والوكالة الإيطالية للتعاون من أجل التنمية بدعم الشراكات الفعالة، وتعزيز التنمية المستدامة في مصر من خلال التعليم الفني عالي الجودة. ✨🌿

🇮🇹🤝🌍 AICS Cairo at Macfrut 2025 – Strengthening Agrifood Partnerships between Italy and Africa

AICS Cairo is proud to be at Macfrut 2025 in Rimini, taking part in a CDP-led workshop focused on agribusiness and the fruit and vegetable sector as key drivers of development and cooperation between Italy and the Africa.

🇪🇬 The discussion spotlighted the potential collaboration opportunities under the Piano Mattei, with a particular focus on Egypt and the strategic role of agri-food value chains for sustainable, inclusive growth.

💡 Tiberio Chiari, Head of AICS Cairo, highlighted how agricultural associationism can reinforce the water-food-energy nexus and foster innovation in rural areas.

🌱 We were honoured to joined by Egyptian startups OZ-Tech and Agrican, supported by the Agritech4Egypt project, showcasing how innovation can transform agriculture, boosting youth employment, and enhancing food security.
