AICS Cairo’s First Official Mission to Eritrea 🇪🇷🇮🇹
AICS Cairo has successfully concluded its first official mission to Eritrea, marking an important milestone in the expansion of its territorial mandate and regional engagement.
The mission was conducted in the presence of H.E. Alfonso Di Riso, Ambassador of Italy to Eritrea, and led by Tiberio Chiari, Head of AICS Cairo, alongside Health and Emergency experts. It focused on strengthening dialogue and building institutional partnerships with key national and international stakeholders 🤝
During the visit, meetings were held with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Commission for Culture and Sports, the Ministry of Agriculture, the European Union Delegation, the United Nations. The delegation also engaged directly with beneficiaries of ongoing programmes, including Orotta National Referral & Teaching Hospital, Halibet Referral Hospital, and the National Confederation of Eritrean Workers 🏥🌾
The mission highlighted current and future cooperation opportunities in priority sectors such as , and , laying the groundwork for strengthened collaboration and joint programming 📊🌍

This mission represents an important step toward deepening cooperation, strengthening partnerships, and translating shared priorities into concrete action, as AICS Cairo continues to expand its engagement in the region and support sustainable development efforts in Eritrea.
