Abstract:
Objectives The treatment of pe**le urethral obstruction in Tom Cats with no response to catheterization by placing a temporary urethral stent to avoid going through perineal urethrostomy or preputial urethrostomy.
Study Design: Case Study (April 2015 – June 2021)
Animals: 14 Intact Tom Cats.
Methods: In the current study, fourteen male cats with obstructed urethras with no response to catheterization were subjected to intervention using a temporary urethral stent. Cases were observed for 10 days postoperative, monitoring blood creatinine level after operations and cases had follow up visits for a year on monthly basis for checkup the subjects’ lifestyle.
Results: The procedure was successfully performed, and cats restored their normal lifestyle. Unfortunately, 2/14 cases died at days 9 and 11 after the operation. Both cases show no decrease in blood creatinine levels at day 2 and day 4 after operation as other subjects did.
Conclusion: Temporary pe**le Urethral stent provided a fast less complicated solution for intact tom cats from urine retention with subjects going back to their normal lifestyle after 10 days, avoiding going through perineal urethrostomy or preputial urethrostomy.
Clinical Significance: Temporary Urethral stent could be considered as a treatment for pe**le urethral obstruction before going to perineal urethrostomy or preputial urethrostomy for treatment pe**le urethral obstruction.

Living in a house has its perks like guaranteed food and protection for the pet, imagine what it would feel like to find yourself on the street and not have the ability to protect yourself or survive on your own like other stray cats..😾 Hence the importance of sterilization for domestic cats and dogs.👍..so that we guarantee them a decent life among us.😊 And there is no need to compare between domestic animals and street animals.😾 . خد بالك من ضربة الشمس 😎
عارفين اد ايه بتهتموا بصحه حيوانتكم الاليفه واحنا كمان يهمنا صحتهم خليك دايما مستعد بمعلومات وقائيه .. خلاص الربيع ابتدا ودرجات الحراره بتبتدي ترتفع شويه بشويه خلي بالك الحيوانات كمان ممكن يجيلها ضربه شمس طب نعمل ايه 🧐🤔
لازم نخلى بالنا كويس علشان نحمى حيواناتنا من تاثير الحراره والاحتياس الحرارى
ضربه الشمس للكلاب من اكتر اسباب الموت للكلاب خصوصا فى الجو ده لعدم قدرته على التخلص من حراره جسمه الا عن طريق اللهث وعدم وجود غدد للتعرق على جسمهم
يجب عدم ترك الكلاب فوق اسطح المنازل نهائي لحد ما الجو يهدأ شويه
وتوفير الماء البارد للكلاب والقطط 24 ساعه ولازم نغير المياه كل شويه علشان وجود بواقى للاكل فى اناء الماء ممكن يخلى القطه او الكلب ميشربوش منها
وتوفير مروحه للتهويه
وتوفير مكان ضله او تدخلوه جوا البيت
وياريت منمشيش الكلاب بالنهار
وممكن عمل شاور للكلاب مع تنشيفه
وبالنسبه للقطط والكلاب الصغيره ضروووووى جدا عمل جرومينج (حلاقه) ليهم للتخفيف من اثر الحراره عليهم
لو حصل اغماء للكلب من الحر يجب التوجه للمستشفى البيطريه فورااااا
