what does the FLUTD mean ?
FLUTD stands for Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease.
It’s not just one disease !!
it’s a group of problems that affect your cat’s bladder and urethra (the tube that carries urine).
👉 In other words, when we say your cat has FLUTD,
we mean there’s something wrong in the lower urinary system, like:
Inflammation (cystitis)
Crystals or bladder stones
Infection (less common)
Or even blockage (which can be dangerous 🚨)
⚠️ Common signs you might notice:
- Going to the litter box very often but passing small amounts
- Crying or pain while urinating
- Blood in urine
- Urinating outside the litter box
These signs happen because the bladder or urethra becomes irritated or blocked.
💡 Important note:
If your cat can’t urinate at all, especially males — this is an emergency and needs immediate veterinary care.

مرض الجهاز البولي السفلي في القطط
وده مش مرض واحد، لكنه مجموعة مشاكل بتأثر على المثانة ومجرى البول عند القطط.
الأعراض اللي ممكن تلاحظها:
دخول الليتر بوكس كتير جدًا
صعوبة أو ألم أثناء التبول
وجود دم في البو
التبول خارج المكان الطبيعي
⚠️ ولو القط مش قادر يتبول خالص → دي حالة طارئة لازم تدخل فوري.
