🐕 3 important things to keep in mind so your hunting dog doesn’t go missing from home

1️⃣ Check your fence regularly
A dog often finds the small gap, loose gate or weak spot that people do not notice right away.

2️⃣ Take your dog’s instincts into account
A forest edge, fresh scents or wildlife tracks can quickly lead a hunting dog away from home. Do not leave your dog unattended for too long in places like these.

3️⃣ Keep the tracking device charged and on your dog’s collar
If your dog does leave home, the most important thing is to quickly know which direction it is moving. You can also share your dog’s location with family members for free in the Doglo app.

ℹ️ 7% of dogs that go missing sadly never make it back home.

🐕 Hunting season is currently on pause, and your hunting dog is at home every day.

But it is often from home that a dog can unexpectedly go missing – following a scent, heading towards the forest edge, visiting the neighbours, or simply wandering too far.

Did you know that the Huntloc tracking device helps you keep an eye on your hunting dog even when there is no hunt taking place?

Keep the device charged and on your dog’s collar. If your dog goes missing from home, you can see its location on your phone and react quickly.

You can also share your dog’s location with family members for free in the Doglo app.

One device. Two uses.

Lost dogs are a thing of the past! 🚀
Huntloc’s new teleportation feature is now in testing.

If your dog takes off after game in the forest and ignores your calls, just press “Home” in the app — and your dog will instantly be back with you.

PS! Possible side effects: your dog may return with its catch (i.e. whatever it happens to have in its mouth at that moment 😄).

⚠️ A heated public debate has erupted in Latvia following an incident where three dogs were shot in the Bauska region.

Police received a call about three aggressively behaving stray dogs that allegedly threatened a local resident. Animal rescue services were contacted, but before they arrived, a member of the local hunting association reached the scene and shot the dogs.

Later it turned out that the dogs belonged to a local entrepreneur and active social media personality. Police are now investigating whether this was an act of animal cruelty or self-defense.

The case has divided Latvian society — some demand strict punishment for the hunter, while others emphasize the responsibility of dog owners to ensure their animals do not roam freely.

Incidents like this remind us how important it is to always know where your dogs are.
