We mourn, we laugh, we fight, we win — and sometimes, we lose.
Today, we are heartbroken that Leila didn’t make it. 💔
And yet… ✨Miracle, aka Fort Young, is pure joy today.
In January 2025, he was hit by a car and left in pain — until a tourist named Maria stepped in to try and save him.
His hip was shattered beyond repair. We had to make the heartbreaking decision to amputate his leg. The prognosis was poor. But Miracle didn’t give up.

Today, he runs on three legs, tail wagging, heart full.
He gives us so much love, so much gratitude — every single day.

Dogs like Miracle teach us what resilience really means.
They carry our hope on three legs and still outrun despair.

We’re proud of you, Miracle aka Fort Young.
You truly are a miracle.

💛 Please support us — so we can keep turning heartbreak into hope. So we can create more Miracles.

🔊 This is the sound of when…

…your lungs fill with blood
…your kidneys shut down
…your stomach lining burns
…your throat swells shut
…your body fights a poison it cannot win against

This is the sound of paraquat.

One of the deadliest herbicides still used in Dominica.
No known antidote.
Painful. Slow. Barbaric.

This is what it did to our newest rescue Leila, still a puppy. Someone poisoned her food on purpose.
We fight day and night for her, but we're not sure Leila will make it. Paraquat is a death sentence and only one in a thousand survive.

💔 This must stop.

🚫 Paraquat needs to be banned.

🐾 Samantha and Edwin flew to Dominica to save lives. ✈️💛
These two incredible humans came just to bring four of our rescued pups to safety in the U.S. — Sky and Delta, siblings we found months ago, sick and with eye infections, on our way back from the airport after another flight drop-off and Lucy and Electro.
Their journey came full circle when Samantha met them at our shelter.
They visited our new location in the Kalinago Territory, shared cuddles, and helped us move one big step forward.
Now, Sky, Delta, Lucy and Electro are safe, healthy, and living their best lives being adopted by loving family members of our amazing flight angels.
💫 Thank you, Samantha and Edwin, for flying hope home.

We’ll never forget the moment we first saw her — a photo of a dog whose head was swollen like a balloon, the result of a belt cruelly wrapped around her neck. It was cutting into her skin, slowly choking the life out of her. Her name is Mac. And from the moment we saw that picture, we knew we had to find her.
But Mac didn’t know we were trying to help. She was terrified, deeply traumatized, and ran from everyone who came near. For days, we searched and followed her, heartbroken each time she slipped away. We were so afraid we’d be too late.
Then we noticed something. Mac had a soft spot for one thing: mac and cheese. It was the only thing she would come close to, the only thing that seemed to bring her any comfort.
On May 5th, after days of worry, hope, and heartbreak, she finally let us get close enough. We rushed her into emergency surgery — and almost lost her again. But Mac fought her way through.
Today, she’s still scared. She only trusts one person — our director — and even then, just barely. But she’s healing. Slowly. Gently. She’s kind, she’s resilient, and she’s alive.
Mac is one of so many. Dogs who are out there right now, hiding in pain, waiting for someone to care.
Please help us keep going — for Mac, and for the next one.💛 Donate — the link is in our bio.

Chow Chow is one of the most heartbreaking neglect cases we've ever seen.A blind senior, left to suffer in silence. His nails twisted in painful spirals. His fur so matted, his skin couldn’t breathe. Forgotten. Overlooked. Ignored.
But not anymore.
We’re on our way to the police station right now. Chow Chow will never be unseen again. Not on our watch.
No dog deserves this. No senior deserves to end life like this.
🧡 Help us write a new chapter for him – one with comfort, safety, and love. Please donate, share, speak out. His healing starts with all of us.

He was found paralyzed, alone on the beach, his leg shattered, his body bruised. Seashore should not have survived. But he did. Because some souls fight quietly, even when the world has given up on them.
Today, he lives at our shelter – full of love, patience, and gratitude. He cannot walk and at the moment we can’t put him in his wheelchair.
It breaks our heart.
Because he deserves more.
He deserves a smooth path to run.
A place to play safely and time for therapy, not just survival.
We do what we can. But we dream of a place where Seashore and dogs like him can live without limits – where mobility doesn’t mean isolation, and every brave soul can explore their surroundings with their wheelchair.
Until then, we carry them. We clean them. We fight for them.
Please, share Seashore’s story. Help us raise awareness for handicapped dogs – the ones often unseen, but never unloved.
✨ They don’t want pity. Just a chance.

One year ago, Wonder was barely alive. Just a tiny pup, freshly rescued and fighting for his life. He had a painful infection, coccidiosis — a resistant strain that no local medication could treat. We watched helplessly as his body weakened… until you stepped in.
Thanks to your donations, your shares, and a miracle shipment of the rare drug ponazuril, Wonder survived. His eye brightened. His little tail started to wag. His name, Wonder, became a symbol of what’s possible when good people come together.
But survival was only the beginning.
He never left the shelter.
He never got adopted.
He never felt what it means to be truly loved by a family.
In July 2024, he was on the list for a Freedom Flight to the U.S. — a chance to finally leave the shelter and find a home. But the flight never took place. The shelters abroad were too full. There was no space for Wonder.
So he stayed.
And he’s still here.
Waiting.
His cage is small, old, and dangerous. One storm and it could collapse. And yet he sits there, day after day, with that same spark in his eye — a spark that says he’s still hoping. That he still believes there’s more to life than this.
We can’t bear the thought that Wonder’s miracle ends in a cage.
He deserves not just survival, but a life worth living.
We still believe his story isn’t over. That somewhere, someone is waiting to love him — not for what he’s been through, but for the soul he is.
🙏 If you can help us find Wonder a flight, a foster, a forever home, or even just help us keep him safe while we search — please reach out.
Let’s not let his bright eye close behind bars.
Not after everything he’s overcome.
He’s Wonder — and he’s still waiting.
