Ride for Resilience: Kimm’s 700 km Journey for Veterinary Mental Health
On January 21st, 2026, Kimm Bakker will step onto her bike in Wapenveld, the Netherlands, and begin a 7-day, 700-kilometre ride all the way to Malmö, Sweden.
Her destination is far, but her purpose is even greater.
Kimm is cycling to raise money for NOMV – Not One More Vet, the leading global advocate for veterinary mental health. Veterinarians face one of the highest rates of burnout, compassion fatigue, and su***de of any profession. NOMV works tirelessly to provide crisis support, education, community, and real-life resources that save lives.
After attending NOMV’s impactful presentation at the NCED (Nordic College of Equine Dentistry) conference in 2025, Kimm knew she had to do something. Inspired by the stories, statistics, and solutions offered by NOMV, she decided to take action — not just with words, but with muscle, sweat, and the steady rhythm of turning pedals.
This ride is her way of saying:
“Our vets deserve help, hope, and a healthier future. And together, we can make that happen.”
Every kilometre is a tribute to the veterinary professionals who give so much, often at great personal cost.
Every donation is a step toward better support, better resources, and fewer tragedies.
Join Kimm on this journey — support, share, donate, or cheer from afar.
Let’s ride together for those who care for our animals every day.
