We are pleased to inform you about the dates of the GOV inspections for this year.

As of July, our inspection dates will start in North America. The judging team are looking forward to the presentation of your horses. Please ensure that you submit the required documents on time. Late entries are possilble on site.

Stallion Service Auction 2026

The OHBS-GOV is pleased to once again offer our breeders a stallion service auction. The Stallion Service Auction has been running since February 14th and ends on February 21st at 8:00PM EST.

The proceeds from this volunteer effort go directly back to our breeders through our rewards program. You sponsor classes, ribbons, awards and prizes for the offspring your stallions and mares produce. Support your breeding organization, buy a fantastic stallion at a super price and allow us to continue to support and promote German registered Oldenburg horses here in North America.

Oldenburg Judging Team on Tour in North America

Since August 10th, the Oldenburg judging team has been traveling across North America to evaluate some of the most promising foals.
Breeding Director Peer Eitenmüller and Kai Jasper Spengemann have been leading the inspections so far, and starting August 26th, Auction Manager Roland Metz will also join the team for several events.
A significant part of the tour in the USA and Canada has already been successfully completed. However, the journey continues over the coming weeks, with the team visiting numerous states across the United States, including:
Virginia, North Carolina, Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Kentucky, Washington, California, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and New York.
The Oldenburg Verband looks forward to meeting breeders and presenting top-quality Oldenburg horses to enthusiasts across the continent.

Dear breeders,

We would like to sincerely thank you for your commitment and passion for the Oldenburg horse. Your work on the ground is a vital part of our international breeding community, and we truly appreciate everything you do.

That’s why we’re especially pleased to visit you again this year. Some of the tour stops will be attended personally by us – because direct exchange with you is important to us.

Stallion Directory 2025 ‼️

Dear stallion owners,

The breeding season 2025 is open and we kindly ask you to register your Oldenburg recognized stallions for the stallion directory.

Only Stallions who are eligible for the Stallion Book I will be published, that means that the stallion/s are licensend with GOV and they are fulfilling the Performance Test Requirements for 2025.

Nowadays we have to publish the FFS status of each stallion. Please provide us with a Lab Report of each stallion if the GOV does not have the report yet.

Dear Oldenburg friends,

It’s that time of year again, and so we are writing to you on behalf of the German Oldenberg Verband (GOV) to request your generous donation of one or more of your stallions for our annual stallion service auction.

The auction will be held February 22 till March 1 ‼️

If you have donated in the past and intend upon donating the same stallion, we already have your information just let us know your intent to donate and we will proceed. If there are any updates to his information just let us know. If you intend upon donating a new stallion, let us know and we will send you a link to upload his information.

We look forward to a successful auction and breeding season and thank you in advance once again for your tremendous support.
