How to understanding your hamster's behaviour 🐹

- Yawning and stretching. This is typically a sign that your hamster feels comfortable and safe with you or in their home environment
- Biting their cage. It is thought that this behaviour is attention seeking, so it might be worth taking your hamster out of their cage for play if they enjoy this, or checking they have enough toys to occupy themselves
- Biting and nibbling. Some hamsters bite, particularly if they’re afraid or startled by you. They may also nibble, which could indicate that they’ve had enough of being handled
