We have to repost one of our favorite moments EVER because it’s International Vulture Awareness Day. And, yes, LouAnne is still working with the Condor Team (almost four years now!). See post below:
Posted • There’s no better job on the planet than volunteering for Ronnie, the baby Cape Vulture, and the Condor Team Los Angeles Zoo]. If you take a moment, you’ll notice there’s a human apprentice in the chair who Ronnie is generously advising (me). It’s hard to describe the awe of being enveloped by the divine wings of an endangered vulture. Two-thirds of the world’s vulture species are going extinct so every day with Ronnie and the Condor Team matters. Their efforts to protect and help this species propagate could be the last stand between these cleansers of our earth and extinction.
