A look back at a truly special day! 🎥 One week ago, we officially inaugurated Repowering Wind Farm Elster – and we’re still energised by the memories of this remarkable event.

The day was marked by inspiring speeches, engaging conversations and a symbolic highlight: the joint buzzer press to set the turbines officially in motion. With an installed capacity of over 105 MW, Elster is among Europe’s most powerful repowering projects – a clear example of what can be achieved when expertise, innovation and teamwork come together.

The celebrations continued with a vibrant family festival, where guests, partners and the local community enjoyed a warm, sunny day filled with great conversations and shared moments. 🙏 A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this milestone so memorable.

Some countries already generate 100% of their electricity from renewable sources. Iceland, Uruguay and Bhutan demonstrate what can be achieved when natural potential meets long-term policy stability, strategic planning and public support. 🔋

In most regions, however, the path to decarbonisation is more complex. Expanding renewable capacity while maintaining energy security and affordability requires more than just technical solutions. It requires collaboration. 🤝

At VSB Group, we believe that cooperation across sectors is essential for a successful energy transition. New energy infrastructure must be integrated into existing systems – through partnerships between project developers, utilities, investors and regulators.

The transformation of energy systems is not a linear process. But by working together, scalable and reliable progress becomes achievable. 🚀

Exploring Renewable Energy with Future Generations! ⚙️🌱

This summer, we had the opportunity to welcome a very special group to our Racibórz Wind Farm in Poland – the Junior Firefighter Team. 🚒

As part of a local summer camp organized by the Volunteer Fire Department in Pawłów, which carries a tradition of more than 100 years, 40 children aged 10 to 14 were introduced to the basics of wind energy and experienced a wind turbine up close.

Guided by our team in Poland, the young firefighters learned more about renewable energy and modern wind farms. They even had the chance to step right up to a turbine they usually only see from afar – and take a look inside through an open access door. 👀

We are proud to support educational initiatives that raise awareness about sustainability and the energy transition. Experiences like this can spark new perspectives – and maybe even future career paths. 🌍

What a powerful moment: Together with our team, long-standing partners and dedicated companions, we have officially inaugurated Repowering Wind Farm Elster. This landmark project proves what’s possible when innovation, technical expertise and true teamwork come together:

✅ 16 instead of 50 turbines
⚡ Six times more electricity
🌱 180,000 tonnes of CO₂ saved annually
🏠 Enough clean energy for 67,000 households

With an installed capacity of 105.4 MW, Elster is not only a benchmark for modern, efficient wind power – as of today, the project accounts for around 4% of all onshore wind capacity commissioned in Germany so far in 2025. A tangible contribution to the nation’s expansion goals.

As one of Europe’s most powerful repowering projects, Repowering Wind Farm Elster is a true milestone for the future of our energy supply. For us at VSB, it’s both a motivation and a mission: to keep driving the energy transition forward – with full force.

Safety First! 🚩 Check out this impressive video from our recent safety training at the wind farm construction site in Miejska Górka!

As a developer of wind, solar, battery storage, and e-mobility projects, we spend a lot of time at our desks and in meetings. But our work doesn’t stop there. Many of our colleagues, partners, and service providers are out on site every day – where heavy machinery, cutting-edge technology, and skilled craftsmanship come together. That’s exactly why the safety of our teams and partners is our top priority.

Whether it’s on a wind turbine, a large-scale PV installation, a substation, battery storage facility, or charging infrastructure – safety and health protection are always in focus, 24/7, all year round. Regular hazard and rescue trainings are essential. Only through hands-on experience can we learn to respond quickly and effectively in critical situations – protecting everyone involved.

Our team at VSB Poland recently joined forces with the local fire brigade for a comprehensive safety drill at the Miejska Górka wind farm (Greater Poland Voivodeship). It was an impressive demonstration of what truly matters in an emergency – and how seamlessly coordination with first responders can work when professionalism meets preparation.

👀 The resulting video offers powerful insights – take a look and see for yourself just how important and impactful these trainings can be!

🌍 Today is World Nature Conservation Day – a timely reminder that protecting our natural environment is not optional, it's essential.

At VSB Group, nature conservation is not a checkbox — it's a philosophy that shapes every project we develop. Sustainable expansion of wind and solar energy can only succeed in harmony with nature and people. Whether it’s wind or solar, we approach renewable energy with ecological foresight and respect for biodiversity.

🦋 From the earliest planning stages, our environmental experts work closely with authorities, local communities, and biologists to evaluate and preserve habitats. This includes relocating protected species, conducting detailed mapping of flora and fauna, and implementing customized compensation measures.

🌱 Our commitment continues beyond construction. We implement, monitor, and adapt measures to ensure minimal environmental impact throughout a project’s lifecycle.

✅ Greater biodiversity
✅ Healthy habitats
✅ Climate protection through renewable energies

Recently, our VSB Poland team had the privilege of being part of a very special event: the traditional "Golden Scythe" harvesting tournament in Piątkowice. For 23 years, the local community has nurtured this unique tradition surrounding the ancient craft of harvesting – a living example of how values, knowledge, and community spirit are passed down from generation to generation.

Beyond exciting competitions involving scythe reaping, threshing, and scythe-hafting, one thing truly stood out: the exchange between people who actively shape their region. For us, it was an excellent opportunity to engage with our neighbours, present our projects, and bring joy to the youngest attendees. 👨‍🌾👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Especially in a time when more and more processes are becoming automated, we see it as a matter of the heart to preserve the roots of rural culture and actively support the strengthening of local communities. Moments like these define grassroots project work for us. We are proud to shape the future together with local communities – people-to-people, with heart and dedication. 🤝❤️
