Our motto “One Team, One Goal” extends beyond our commitment to a green energy future it also comes to life through shared experiences like this.

📢 A big shout-out to our VSB Poland team: around 50 highly motivated colleagues took part in this year’s Tour de Wind demonstrating true team spirit on and off the track. Whether tackling the 60 km or 100 km route along the scenic Baltic Sea coastline near Grzybowo, their energy, fairness, and dedication stood out.

We are especially proud that the VSB team claimed victory in the women’s category over the 100 km distance. A fantastic achievement and a great example of passion, endurance, and teamwork in action. This is exactly the spirit that drives us at VSB, both in our projects and beyond.

Under the motto “Riding with the Wind,” the event brought together industry peers in a unique way, combining sport, sustainability, and community. Beyond the sporting challenge, the event also supported a charitable initiative for the West Pomeranian Hospice for Children and Adults Foundation an engagement we were honoured to contribute to. 🫶

We are already excited for the next Tour de Wind edition in 2027 and can’t wait to ride together again! 🚴‍♂️

🌍 International Mother Earth Day

International Mother Earth Day reminds us that caring for our planet also means caring for the people and communities who depend on it. It is an opportunity to reflect on how everyday actions can help protect the environment for future generations. 🌱

At VSB, this responsibility is deeply rooted in who we are. As a company dedicated to renewable energy in the fields of solar, wind and storage, we work every day to help advance the energy transition, shape a cleaner energy system and preserve the natural foundations on which life depends.

♻️ This commitment goes beyond our projects. It is also reflected in how our teams act – locally, collectively and with purpose. From 20-24 April, we are proud to celebrate our very first VSB International Clean Walk Week across Europe. Colleagues from all our offices are coming together to make a visible local contribution and bring our values into practice. And for those attending WindEurope in Madrid, you may even spot some of our colleagues there doing their part as well.

Because building a better future begins with responsibility, commitment and the many small actions that together create lasting impact. 🌿

Solar power is gaining serious momentum across Europe, with the trend clearly moving eastwards. ☀️

According to a Reuters analysis from December 2025, solar power generation has not only risen in Germany and Spain, but it has also increased significantly in Poland, Hungary and Bulgaria. In several of these markets, solar energy accounted for over 20% of electricity production during peak months.

This signals that Central and Eastern Europe is set to become a key pillar of the European energy transition. Falling costs, improved regulation and growing investor confidence are accelerating large-scale deployment. 📈

For us, this development opens up significant opportunities. Emerging markets are becoming strategic growth markets. By combining photovoltaic projects with wind power and battery storage, we can help to build resilient, decentralised energy systems that will strengthen the security of energy supply across Europe. 🌍

Successful construction progress: The Miejska Górka wind farm in Poland is taking shape!

As winter finally gives way to warmer days, spring is arriving at our construction site at the Miejska Górka wind farm 🌷

The photos may still show snow-covered turbines under bright blue skies, but on site the snow has melted and we’re moving full speed ahead. With a maximum of energy, we are advancing the construction of 53 wind turbines on behalf of TAURON Polska Energia, supplied by turbine manufacturer Nordex Group.

Here’s a look at our current milestones:
✅ 45 out of 53 turbines have been delivered.
✅ 27 out of 53 turbines have already been erected.
🦺 Our goal: to connect the 190-megawatt wind farm to the grid on schedule by the end of 2026 as one more strong signal for the energy transition in Poland and across Europe!

💚 What we love about the energy transition:

Wind, PV & BESS – the technologies powering our future.

But what we really love is what you can’t always see: the people and the project journey behind every megawatt.

🌬️ Hands tending to the turbines, ensuring their motion stays steady in the changing wind.
☀️ The quiet perseverance of moving PV parks through permitting step by step.
🔋 Battery storage built for the moments reliability matters most.

That’s how sustainable scale is built: responsibility and long-term vision.

Across six European countries, VSB now carries a pipeline of 20+ GW. And for nearly 30 years, our teams have shaped this path: developing 750+ wind and PV projects, supporting 3+ GW of operating assets, and creating integrated energy solutions that stand the test of time – because the future deserves nothing less.

This work isn’t just engineering. It’s care. It’s responsibility. It’s impact on tomorrow.⚡️

And that’s exactly what we’d love to talk about. This April, you’ll find us back at WindEurope – this time in Madrid!

In 2025, Germany approved a record 3,310 onshore wind turbines totalling 21 GW of future capacity. Meanwhile, 958 turbines were installed, adding 5.2 GW and bringing the total installed capacity to around 68 GW – a strong signal of accelerating momentum. 📈

But this progress is at risk. According to Bundesverband WindEnergie e.V. and VDMA, grid access is becoming a growing bottleneck. Long connection delays are threatening the realisation of projects and could slow the pace of the energy transition.

We experience this tension first-hand in our development work. That’s why we fully support the call for a modern, flexible and forward-looking electricity system – including storage, cable pooling and strengthened direct supply models. 🌱

As developers, we know that every project brings value: securing energy supply, creating jobs, and supporting local communities. But to unlock the full potential of onshore wind, the regulatory framework and grid infrastructure must keep pace. ⚡️

The energy is ready. Let’s make sure it reaches the grid.

One of the most common myths about wind energy is that wind farms consume vast areas of land. The truth is different. ⬇️

According to a 2024 study by the Thünen-Institut in Braunschweig, less than 3% of Germany’s land is needed to meet the country's electricity demand through wind energy. In fact, wind power is one of the most land-efficient energy sources available: just 1 hectare of wind turbines can supply electricity for 6,000 households for a year. For comparison, 1 hectare of solar panels can supply 230 households, whereas the same area of maize used for biogas can only power 7 households.

We believe in facts, not myths. Wind energy requires minimal land while delivering maximum benefits in the fight against climate change. 🌱

Debunking myths like this strengthens public acceptance and demonstrates that renewables and rural life go hand in hand. 🤝

Artificial Intelligence is increasingly shaping the future of clean energy. From optimising solar and wind forecasts to improving battery storage and grid balancing operations, AI is proving to be a powerful enabler of a decentralised and data-driven energy landscape. 📈

However, we also recognise that AI is not a silver bullet. The path forward comes with clear challenges:
- Data quality and security must be ensured.
- Industry-wide standards are still evolving.
- The necessary computing infrastructure is both energy-intensive and expensive.

As project developers, we aim to actively bridge this gap by combining decades of renewable energy expertise with new digital tools. Our goal is to make renewable systems smarter and more reliable while ensuring transparency and considering the long-term impact.
