I`m addicted to basenjis since I have seen one the first time in the early 90ties on a dogshow at Dortmund/Germany. Therefore I got in contact with in the scene very wellknown Sally & Marvin Wallis from Zande Basenjis in Great Britain in 1993. I had to wait almost 2 years till 1995 before I got my first Basenji
Her name

was Asali, Zande Asali (Zande Rajua x Embeau Alpha) and she was on my side for over 15 years! Loki`s Iloua (Klassic`s Lady in Red x Zuri`s Nwa Ozuzu) - from the US. She was bred by my dear friend Alex Guth from Loki Basenjis. WIth "Loua" I had my first litter, she is the foundation girl of my Msumari`s breeding. Nowadays, there are 5 Basenjigirls out of 4 generations living at home with me. One male is living with a friend of mine and 4 more Basenjis are co-owned. Please read carefully the characteristics of the breed! Basenjis are not an easy breed and you need to know what you get for the next 12-16 years!

So very proud of them all!
So very happy to have such great puppy owners!

The best thing was socialising after the show, hinking up to a castle, where I took the lovely pics of all.
In the evening we visited all together a wine festival nearby where we met as well „Jazouh“ of my breeding and her owners Domi & Max and on the way home on sunday we met „Nayko“ who was so happy to see us!
Such a lovely weekend!

„Moyo“ was the first male dog I owned in my kennel, a true champion, inside and outside, the best boy ever!

He spent his whole life living with my dear friend Katrin, who was with us when he was born and with him when he took his last breath in her arms and she has now lost her best friend and loyal companion.

We are still in shock and can’t understand...
Dear „Moyo“, your soul has moved on, but the love you gave and the joy you brought will remain with us!

❤️ MSUMARI‘S BASENJIS & FRIENDS MEETING 2025 ❤️

What a fantastic day, what a lovely event! ❤️

Rain was forecasted, but predictions aren’t always right!

We had perfect racing weather, which allowed us to do 2 runs, no rain, and 19 Basenjis along with 29 two-legged friends joined us to celebrate! 😀
The rain at 6 p.m. didn’t matter… we had the tent then for the barbeque!
We had visitor coming from way up north of Germany, Austria & Switzerland!

Jazouh .the.basenji passed the racing license doing 2 successful group runs with Thao & Youhko and Aisii .the.basenji, Cyo and Zouhyah did 2 successful solo runs and started their racing licence!
Thanks a lot to Markus Kyries for coming and supervising the licence runs!

All Basenjis had a blast at our fun race!
We could do 2 runs in 6 different cathegories and the winners got some gifts and a certificate!

The sausage-eating contest was big fun for all —and I swear…
I didn’t practice with Zouhyah… 😅

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came to join us, who brought salads, cakes (and dog ice cream!), and helped with setting up and taking down!
Thanks also for all the amazing little gifts you brought along!
You’re the best!

We finally got to bed at 2:30 a.m.… 😅

Big thanks to Max for the awesome group photo—this time I actually thought about taking one!

And the biggest thank to Helmut & Anja from the racetrack at Windhundfreunde-Mertingen-e.V. who made our meeting possible!
Helmut, the best man on the lure and the grill, Anja, the best woman at the startbox and in the kitchen...
