This male bunny is kept in a small space with very little room to move in but the owner is willing to part with him so I'm at the moment looking for someone to either take the bunny to the animal shelter or to adopt him. He's at the moment in Haselhorst, Spandau Berlin. Anyone knows anyone?

This little dove has been bullied by his dad but now every time he feels threatened he quickly flies to his safe spot next to me. That made it easy to install the UVB light that will hopefully help him get in a better shape.

A bit too graphic of a video of cats p*eing and pooping but hey, don't let that put down a good idea. It's been around for much longer though and such a thing can be made at home as well. Along with teaching the cat to flush (depending on the type of flushing system).

Giving a massage to this fellow here makes me realize I don't want to learn about Tuina and Shiatsu for human animals only but also for those that we've abused, objectified and traded with (and still do) in absurd numbers. For the first time I can also feel relaxed that I'm in Berlin where there are those who see these abuses too and will encourage this drive to serve those we rescue and care for until that day when 'breeding' will stop.

This is Lucy's last photo.:-( One night, a week ago following a short seizure she passed away. My partner and I took turns during that day to be there for her and she was sleeping on our laps until the last moments. I'm sad she's gone but glad she's not suffering anymore and that her last day she was surrounded by those she knew and trusted. Rest in purr.:-)

The last few months have been a carusel of emotions when it comes to caring for non human animals. Firstly having found Mimmi, the cat a stable, permanent home took a bit of mental and emotional energy and preparation but she is now safe and sound with someone working from home able to care to her every needs as she deserves. Secondly, now in Bavaria I try to be there for my partner who is on a daily portion of washing carpets, towels and going to the vet as Lucy, the cat seems to be living her last days:(. She's been having heart and thyroid problems for which she was getting pills twice a day but which now we have to force on her as she doesn't accept the food she would otherwise have it hidden in. Her body temperature is bellow normal. She is not p*eing in her litter box anymore but all over the house. Her frequent yelling stopped but she can barely walk and just today her right, hind leg swollen into an edema. She doesn't eat much at all, some days nothing and is acutely constipated. My partner's awesome thinking came up with solutions to all these problems even though the vets were useless in that aspect. Maybe some will be of use to some other people dealing with the same issues:
1) p*eing all over: finding and buying "puppy pads" from Trixie (Welpen-Unterlagen) on which the cat prefers to p*e as the are on solid ground and she doesn't need to go in the unstable sand;
2) low body temperature: access to sun on sunny days, an infrared lamp attached to a (guitar?) stand on cloudy days;
3) not eating her pill hidden in snacks: an unpleasant solution was to force her to swallow the pills which doesn't work as smoothly as in he following video as Lucy is anything but cooperative even in her weakened state: https://youtu.be/aWlpsTh6ddk
Vets are very quick to offer eutanasia as a "solution" without placing the same standards as for human animals on the non human ones but with Lucy's condition deteriorating the question on what to do if she continues not to eat and more edemas or organ failures occur dwells on my partner as well and I have no clear answers either...
