پاکستان میں ہر کوئی ڈر بیچتا ہے اور ڈر کا کاروبار ہی کرتا ہے۔ پیدا ہوتے ہی کبھی ہمیں کسی جانور سے ڈرایا جاتا ہے یا پھر چڑیلوں سے۔ جیسے ہی زندگی کچھ آگے بڑھتی ہے، تو مساجد سے واسطہ پڑتا ہے، جہاں اللہ کے غضب اور جہنم کی آگ سے ڈرایا جاتا ہے۔ اگر کوئی اس خوف سے باہر نکلنے کی کوشش کرے تو اسے سخت سزا کا سامنا کرنا پڑتا ہے۔

پھر ہمارے اسکول، کالج اور یونیورسٹیاں آتی ہیں، جہاں فیل ہونے سے ڈرایا جاتا ہے۔ اگر کسی کے ساتھ مقابلہ ہو جائے تو ہارنے کا خوف دلایا جاتا ہے، اور استاد کے غصے اور سزا سے بھی ڈرایا جاتا ہے۔ حیرت کی بات یہ ہے کہ ہمیں اسکولوں میں یہ پڑھایا جاتا ہے کہ “یہاں مار نہیں، پیار ہوتا ہے۔”

جب یہ خوف ہمارے خون میں رچ بس جاتا ہے تو ہم نوکری کی تلاش میں نکلتے ہیں، اس ڈر کے ساتھ کہ اگر اپنا کاروبار کیا تو کہیں نقصان نہ ہو جائے۔ پھر ساری عمر نوکری جانے کے خوف سے وہی نوکری کرتے رہتے ہیں، چاہے کتنی ہی تکلیف کیوں نہ ہو۔

ایک خوف زدہ قوم کا ایک ڈرا ہوا فرد آپ کو 23 مارچ کی جھوٹی مبارکباد پیش کرتا ہے۔
