At this very place, two years ago, one of those timeless photographs was taken — a moment when Winnie, still a tiny, tired baby after a 10-day journey, stood still and proud for the first time, posing for our very first photo together… while behind us, quietly and almost unreal, the Drina River flowed.

It wasn’t just a picture — it was the beginning of a story.
A moment when the stars began to align, dreams started to take shape, and a quiet wish began to grow into something far greater.

Since then, every thought of this place has carried the same emotion — a quiet yet powerful need to return… to feel that energy again, that special connection that cannot be explained, only felt.

Today… Winnie can no longer fit in my lap.
Today, he has grown into a strong, magnificent, and proud boy.

But when I look at him, I still see that little soul who trusted me from the very first day.

And maybe that is the most beautiful part — that along with him, our story has grown…
a love that never fades, a trust built not through words but through actions, care, and silent understanding…
a presence that speaks louder than anything.

Etno Village Sunčana Reka, the Drina River, CACIB Loznica… and my Winnie.
