During one of the hardest moments we’ve ever faced, you showed up. While others turned away, you stepped in and gave 9 of our dogs a second chance more than anyone else ever did.
Your kindness, compassion, and willingness to help when things felt impossible meant the world to us. We couldn’t be more grateful, or more proud, that our dogs and in many ways, we too are now part of the 2nd Chance family.

⚠️URGENT: Forever Home Needed for Philomena✨
Philomena was found abandoned on a beach last summer and was lucky enough to be adopted in December. Sadly, things haven’t worked out with the existing cat in the home, and now she’s at risk of losing her home again. Philomena is around 1 year old, spayed, fully vaccinated, and has lived peacefully with our other indoor cats at the shelter for months—she’s playful, social, and especially loves feline company. She’s also met children and handled it well. With our shelter closing, Philomena has nowhere to return to, and the thought of her ending up in another cat shelter after experiencing the comfort of a home is heartbreaking. She will be rehomed with an adoption package and a successful homecheck is required. If you can offer this sweet girl the forever home she deserves, please message us urgently. 😼 ❤️

This is it. Time is almost up. The shelter is closing in just a few weeks, and these 11 dogs still have nowhere to go. If we don’t find them a foster, adopter, or a shelter willing to take them in, they will be left with no options.

We have fought desperately to keep them safe, but we cannot do this alone. They have already been abandoned once—please don’t let this be the end for them.

They’ve been rescued from the streets, given safety, love, and care—but now, with our shelter closing in just one month, everything we’ve done for them will be wasted if we can’t find them homes or a safe place to go.

They may not be small, fluffy, or purebred, but they are good dogs with so much love to give. They deserve a future, not uncertainty.

🆘 🚨 Urgent help is needed at the shelter for the next couple of weeks on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 8:00 AM until 1:00 PM. With no volunteers available, even though i had knee surgery and I’m in agonizing pain i had to come here on my own today. I will personally show you what needs to be done, no experience is necessary,you just need to not be afraid of the dogs or getting dirty. Because this situation is extremely urgent (I wasn’t even supposed to be here yet), I’m willing to negotiate a payment for your assistance. Meet Reggie, the adorable and playful pup we rescued from the vet clinic in April 2024! His previous owner wanted to put him down when he tested positive for leishmania, but rest assured - it’s a treatable condition and Reggie’s levels and bloods are looking great! He just needs a pill in the morning and at night, which is affordable and common, and won’t affect his happy and normal life. Reggie is nearly 3 years old, a Greek hare hound mix, weighing 17 kg. He is a lovable, friendly dog who gets along with other dogs, kids, and even cats! Reggie loves playing with toys, getting lots of attention, and enjoying treats. He is one of the sweetest and most gentle dogs we have. Reggie is currently searching for his forever home, whether in Cyprus or abroad. If you’re interested in welcoming this wonderful dog into your family, please send us a message. Reggie narrowly escaped a sad fate and now deserves a loving family to call his own.
