🌸 Help Sweet Jasmine Walk Normal Again 🌸

Meet Sweet Jasmine – a gentle soul who has already endured more than any dog should in just one short year of life. The vet estimates she’s barely 1 year old, yet her tiny 9.2 kg frame tells a heartbreaking story of neglect and abandonment.

Jasmine was discarded—left behind because someone didn’t want to pay for her surgery. 💔 She came to us scared, underweight, and in pain. But there's hope: her leg is operable! She has a congenital knee condition where her kneecap was displaced from the joint. Thankfully, surgery can correct this, followed by much-needed physiotherapy. It’s a long road, but it’s one with a happy ending in sight.

Despite the scars on her little body, Jasmine is starting to shine again. With fluids, food, and lots of love from the vet team, she’s already showing that sparkle in her eyes. 💫 She’s Anaplasma (-), Ehrlichia (-) but Leishmania (+) – we’re addressing that too.

She is currently safe under veterinary care, where she’s gaining strength and trust day by day. Once she gains enough weight, her surgery needs to happen as soon as possible—delaying it will only make it more difficult and painful as she grows.

We are reaching out with open hearts to ask for your help. We need to raise a minimum of €1,500 to cover the cost of her knee surgery and care. Every euro brings Jasmine closer to running, playing, and living the life she truly deserves.

🚨URGENT RESCUE UPDATE – 23 April 2025 | 17:40 hrs | EKO Garage, Peyia🚨

This evening, we came across a heartbreaking scene that left us shaken. A severely dehydrated young female dog, estimated to be just 1 to 1.5 years old, was found absolutely emaciated struggling for survival near the EKO Garage in Peyia. Her hind leg is badly damaged – an old, untreated injury that has left her unable to stand or walk properly. She’s been forced to scrounge for scraps, living a life full of pain and neglect.

She is now safe and receiving emergency care at Paphos Vet Hospital, where she’s on fluids and undergoing blood tests. Tomorrow, they will perform x-rays to assess the full extent of the damage to her leg. Right now, we can only pray it’s treatable.

We are completely full at the pound — bursting at the seams, like so many other rescues, shelters, and pounds across the island. The start to 2025 has been nothing short of devastating. The sheer number of abandoned, abused, and mistreated animals is overwhelming. We are running on empty: physically, emotionally, and financially.

But there was no way we could leave her behind. She will remain at the vet’s while we work on a plan for her care, recovery, and (we hope) a brighter future.

🍼🍼 Lara's Pups are 5 weeks old now. They aren't feeding from Lara as much and really enjoying their puppy food mixture. They certainly love a tumble or two with their siblings and all their new toys.

Off to the vet in 7 days for their first puppy vaccination💉 and get weighed.
