I am an animal behaviourist and welfare scientist, passionate about dogs and improving their welfare. In 2012, I introduced animal physiotherapy to Cyprus, opening my own rehabilitation centre for small animals. I recently completed a course in canine exercise rehabilitation to ensure I continue to offer the highest standards in my work as an animal rehabilitation specialist, focussing on dogs suf

fering from orthopaedic and/ or neurological conditions. I hold an MSc in Animal Welfare (Distinction) from The University of Edinburgh, a BSc in Animal Behaviour (First Class Honours) from Anglia Ruskin University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Veterinary Physiotherapy, a Certificate in Canine Exercise Rehabilitation, and I am a Member of the Royal Society of Biology.

I owe this qualification to Bella and Forrest, my two girls🐾, who pushed me to find a compassionate and evidence based method to teach them that staying home alone is safe. In turn, I look forward to helping other dog guardians on this journey.

~ Canine separation anxiety specialist (CSAP-BC), providing support and guidance to the dedicated, compassionate guardians of dogs who suffer from separation anxiety, allowing you to regain your freedom by teaching your dogs to feel safe home alone ~

Biography

Stephanie Karageorgis holds an MSc with Distinction in Animal Welfare and a First Class Honours BSc in Animal Behaviour. Her area of particular interest is in emotional expressivity in dogs - the focus of her postgraduate thesis. She also has a Postgraduate Diploma in Veterinary Physiotherapy and is an Associate Member of the Royal Society of Biology.

Stephanie has always had an interest in nature, with a particular passion for dogs and their welfare. She got her first dog, Nelson (a Cyprus rescue), when she was 13 years old, and this special boy sparked an intense fascination in the unique dog-human relationship, which has shaped her education and career. She now shares her home with another rescue dog, Bella.
