The British (Forces) Animal Rehoming Centre - BARC - offers support to military personnel with pets. BARC is a non-profit organisation - any proceeds from our activities go directly towards the support and upkeep of the animals and facilities. Established in 1991 BARC is dedicated to providing an animal welfare service to British Forces in the Western Sovereign Base Area, Cyprus. A

s well as finding new homes for cats and dogs, BARC offers pet boarding and an import / export service exclusively to service personnel. 🌟 Good news and Appreciation Post 🌟

A huge thank you to Liz and her wonderful family for opening their hearts and home to our Molly Moo 💕

Our beautiful, kind, and gentle girl was found by BARC back in December 2024, and she’s been with us ever since winning everyone over with her sweet nature. Recently, Molly took her biggest journey yet, flying all the way to the UK to start her new life with her amazing forever family 🏡✈️

We miss Molly so so much but are over the moon to see her living her best life surrounded with love, comfort, and the happiness she truly deserves. Molly now has a new brother Western who she is enjoying playing with and going on nice walks.

Thank you so much Liz and family, for giving Molly the happy ending we always dreamed of for her ❤️🐾

This birthday is an extra special one! It is Luna’s first birthday in a loving home! 💕

After spending over 6 years in kennels, Luna finally found her forever family with Dan, Kelly, and family. Now she’s enjoying the happy life she always deserved filled with cuddles, walks, and all the love in the world. 🏡✨

We’re so proud of how far she’s come and so grateful to see her thriving. We know so many of you were delighted when Luna found her forever home we wanted to give you an update. Here’s to Luna proof that good things truly come to those who wait. 💖

Good morning ❤️

Great news! Molly has found her forever home in the UK 🏡✨ She’s currently safe in her loving foster with Hannah, Clayton and handsome little Oakley and her wonderful new furry sister Saffy.
We still need to raise the last of Molly’s travel funds so she can fly at the end of this month and finally start her happily ever after 💕🐾

Please help us if you can by donating. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a world of difference. Thank you for helping us give these pups the futures they deserve ❤️

We’re so thrilled that Bentley has already flown to his forever home and is doing amazingly well thanks to all your generous donations! 🙏💖

Anything extra raised will go towards Flash’s flight. He’s currently living his best life with Elsie, Paul and their beautiful girls in foster which we we are so grateful for and hope that this could be Flash’s happy ever after! However as yet Flash doesn’t have a forever home although we have had some recent interest as he is such a wonderful companion. If anyone is looking for a new addition to their family, please get in touch 🐶✨

It’s our Anniversary this week!

We’re so proud to have been helping animals find loving homes for 34 wonderful years 💕

Thank you to everyone who has supported BARC along the way, we couldn’t do it without you!

To celebrate we will be having special anniversary offers in our brand new shop on dodge 🛍️🐶🐱 pop in to grab yourself a bargain!

We have had a delivery from our new supplier if there is something you want but we don’t have ask Tina and we will see if we can order it in for you.

Job Advertisement: Kennel Hands Wanted!

Are you passionate about animals?

We are looking for dedicated and reliable Kennel Hands to join our BARC team!

📍 Location: Building 720, Norfolk Hill, Salamanca Barracks

🕒 Hours: Part-time / Casual shifts

🔹 Key Responsibilities:
• Feeding, exercising, and caring for cats and dogs
• Cleaning kennels and maintaining hygiene standards
• Monitoring animal health and behaviour
• Assisting with bathing, grooming, and basic training
• Providing plenty of love and attention to our furry guests!

🔸 Requirements:
• Previous experience with animals preferred but not essential!
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
• Physically fit this is an active, hands-on role
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
• Must be confident handling dogs of all breeds and sizes

✨ Bonus if you have:
• Previous Kennel Hand experience
• Animal care qualification
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
