The British (Forces) Animal Rehoming Centre - BARC - offers support to military personnel with pets. BARC is a non-profit organisation - any proceeds from our activities go directly towards the support and upkeep of the animals and facilities. Established in 1991 BARC is dedicated to providing an animal welfare service to British Forces in the Western Sovereign Base Area, Cyprus. A

s well as finding new homes for cats and dogs, BARC offers pet boarding and an import / export service exclusively to service personnel. Happy New Year Everyone!

2025 has been a great year for The BARC! Lots of changes and improvements have been made for the better. We have loved and cared for lots of your fur babies and hope to see them all again soon.

We want to say a huge thank you to all our volunteers who give their time so generously without you we wouldn’t be able to do what we do!

We wish you all a wonderful 2026 and If you are thinking of fostering or adopting a cat or dog please do pop up to see us we would be happy to chat with you 🐾

Merry Christmas everyone!

I have some amazing news to share!

🐾 It’s Happy adoption day for Flash! 🐾

After over 2 long years at BARC, our beautiful boy Flash has finally found what he’s been waiting for a forever home 🏡✨ After being left at the Barc Flash has been desperately waiting for the right family to come along and now they have.

Flash has been adopted by the wonderful Paul, Elsie, Lily, and Ivy, who have truly opened their home and hearts to him. From shelter life to sofa cuddles, Flash’s journey is a reminder that patience, love, and hope really do pay off.

We are so incredibly happy to see Flash start this new chapter surrounded by love, security, and family life exactly what he deserves.

Thank you to this amazing family for choosing to adopt and for giving Flash the happy ending he’s waited so patiently for 💙 it’s not always easy with a dog that has spent a lot of time in kennels but your support and determination as made a huge difference. We look forward to seeing what the future has in store for you all!

🌟 Good news and Appreciation Post 🌟

A huge thank you to Liz and her wonderful family for opening their hearts and home to our Molly Moo 💕

Our beautiful, kind, and gentle girl was found by BARC back in December 2024, and she’s been with us ever since winning everyone over with her sweet nature. Recently, Molly took her biggest journey yet, flying all the way to the UK to start her new life with her amazing forever family 🏡✈️

We miss Molly so so much but are over the moon to see her living her best life surrounded with love, comfort, and the happiness she truly deserves. Molly now has a new brother Western who she is enjoying playing with and going on nice walks.

Thank you so much Liz and family, for giving Molly the happy ending we always dreamed of for her ❤️🐾

This birthday is an extra special one! It is Luna’s first birthday in a loving home! 💕

After spending over 6 years in kennels, Luna finally found her forever family with Dan, Kelly, and family. Now she’s enjoying the happy life she always deserved filled with cuddles, walks, and all the love in the world. 🏡✨

We’re so proud of how far she’s come and so grateful to see her thriving. We know so many of you were delighted when Luna found her forever home we wanted to give you an update. Here’s to Luna proof that good things truly come to those who wait. 💖
