Don’t be fooled…every single one of our horses loves the water! Skipping a splash session or a cool-down at Sint Joris Bay? That’s rarely on their agenda.😉

One thing people often ask is whether we have to convince the horses to go into the water. The answer is simple: absolutely not. They walk right in on their own, ears forward and ready to enjoy every second of it.

Whether it’s standing in the bay, splashing around, or simply cooling off after the ride, water time is one of their favorite parts of the day. And honestly, watching them enjoy themselves that much never gets old.💙🩵

Our Reina de Cappoccina, Capa, is currently on a one-month vacation from her duties. 👑🐴

No tourists, no work, no responsibilities. Just being a horse.

Her daily schedule now consists of:
🌿 Eating
🏃‍♀️ Running around with the herd
🤸‍♀️ Throwing in a few bucks because she can
🌿 More eating
💩 An impressive amount of pooping
🏃‍♀️ More running
🌿 And somehow finding time to eat again

As much as we love riding horses, moments like these are just as important. Time to be with the herd, move freely, make questionable life decisions at full speed, and simply enjoy being a horse.

And honestly? Looking at her living her best life, we’re pretty sure she’s not missing us one bit. 😂

Criadero Chayen Clément is looking for a handyman/stable worker who isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty, work alongside animals, and be part of something real. From feeding horses and cleaning stables to keeping the yard running strong. 💪🏼

This is more than just work. It’s dusty shoes, muddy hands, horse kisses, sweaty foreheads and learning something new every single day.

We’re looking for someone who:
• Is 16+
• Can work about 3 days a week
• Morning or afternoon hours
• Loves animals and nature
• Isn’t scared of hard work
• Wants to grow with us

No fancy office. No boring routine. Just fresh air, good energy, and life around horses. 🤎

A horse can drink up to 55 liters of water a day, depending on the weather, workload, and activity. After a ride through nature or time spent at the bay, hydration becomes even more important.😉

Horses naturally drink more when they have access to clean, fresh water throughout the day. It helps regulate body temperature, supports digestion, and helps their muscles recover after exercise.💪🏼

Especially in Curaçao’s climate, keeping horses hydrated is part of their daily care and wellbeing.

Not every side of Curaçao comes with a beach chair and a cocktail. Some sides come with dust on your boots, cactus next to the trail, curious goats watching you pass by, and horses leading the way through places most people never even knew existed. 🌵🐴

This is the different side of Curaçao.
The quiet side.

And yes… we know the water rides are a whole experience on their own; splashing through Sint Joris Bay with your horse is hard to beat. But the earth ride? That one shows the island in all its diversity. From rocky paths to open views, hidden trails, nature, animals, and the real countryside feeling of Curaçao.

Some horses come back quietly… Illustro clearly missed the part where he was supposed to act calm when he first arrived at Criadero CC in December 2024.

Officially back in business since January 2026 and every week he’s doing a little more again during the lessons, with both the small and the big riders. After ripping his hoof in two spots(basically the whole toe) back in December 2024, this giant had a full year off to recuperate. Which for Illustro basically meant: no adventures, no trail rides, endless trimming and shoeing work for me, losing all muscles, and trying to convince everyone he was being severely mistreated because he couldn’t go anywhere.🙇🏼‍♀️

There were moments where progress felt slow, muscles disappeared, and patience was tested daily… mostly because he still had enough energy left for cheeky behavior while standing around doing “nothing.” But step by step he kept improving, and now he’s finally back where he belongs.😎

Long legs, dramatic personality, and all. 🤎
