Some things to know about this species before you enter:

Recommended Enclosure Size & Setup: For multiple frogs, use an 18x18x24 enclosure, and for a single adult, a 20-gallon high tank is suitable. Younger frogs can be housed in smaller enclosures but will need an upgrade as they reach adulthood.The substrate can be coco fiber or peat moss covered with a layer of leaf litter, but a bioactive substrate like Tropical BioBedding with leaf litter is preferred.Provide climbing structures such as cork branches, manzanita wood, or vines.A bowl of fresh, dechlorinated tap water or reconstituted RO/DI water should be available daily.

Temperature (°F): Maintain the enclosure temperature between 72-78 degrees Fahrenheit, typical for many tropical frogs.Digital thermometers or combometers can help monitor the temperature.

Humidity: Keep humidity levels between 50-70% for adult frogs. Froglets might require higher humidity, closer to 80%, to prevent desiccation.Use digital hygrometers or combometers to monitor humidity levels.

Size: Masked Tree Frogs are relatively large, with females reaching just over 3 inches in length. Males are typically around 2 inches when fully grown.

Age: The lifespan of these frogs is not well-documented, but similar-sized tree frogs tend to live 10-15 years in captivity.

Feeding: In the wild, they feed on crickets, grasshoppers, spiders, and fly larvae.In captivity, feed gutloaded crickets dusted with a calcium/vitamin supplement. Offer appropriately sized dubias, black soldier fly larvae, and other feeder worms as supplements.At the time of sale, they will be eating three to four 1/4 inch gutloaded crickets three times a week.
