Since the beginning of the war between Israel and Hamas, in addition to the human casualties and suffering, many dogs have been injured, abandoned, or lost their owners. Together with Gilboa Loves Animals (Gilboa Animal Rescue) we are expanding our capacities to host these dogs in our shelter in Israel, near the city of Haifa. We don't care whether the dog came from Israel or Palestine, or if it had Jewish or Arab owners. We help all dogs. We provide medical care, we look for the owners, as in many cases they are looking for their loved dogs, and we host those without a home until we find them a new one. In our shelter, dogs are never killed. We don't give up on any dog.

En collaboration avec Gilboa Loves Animals (Gilboa Animal Rescue), nous élargissons nos capacités pour accueillir ces chiens dans notre refuge en Israël, près de la ville de Haïfa. Puma was yet another female dog abused for breeding of fighting dogs. She was found sick and starved, after giving yet another birth. Oscar was found abandoned with fractures in both of his rear legs. The rescue team of Gilboa Animal Rescue, our partner organization in Israel, evacuated him to a veterinary hospital for a series of surgeries. After a very long recovery, the little broken puppy grew up to a magnificent Husky, and his legs recovered almost completely.

Shelters and killing stations in Israel are full of such dogs. Private NGOs are the only ones who care for them, and they are way over capacity.

Our mission is to support the amazing teams of our partner animal rescue organizations in Israel and the Palestinian territories, to promote education and castration of dogs, and to help individuals in Switzerland to adopt dogs from these organizations.

CALL FOR IMMEDIATE HELP: We need IV pumps or donations to buy ones, as soon as possible!

This poor puppy and 20 others were rescued from Ramallah in a joint effort of Palestinian teams, the Atalef organization in Israel, and our partner organization in Israel Gilboa Animal Rescue.

However, 11 of them were diagnosed with Parvovirus, which is life-threatening for young puppies. The veterinary hospitals could not accept all of them and the organizations in Israel are looking for more IV pumps so that they can administer the necessary medications to the puppies that are not hospitalized.

We are looking to borrow IV pumps in Switzerland, and we can transport them immediately to Israel. If you know a vet, a doctor, a practice, or an organization that can lend or donate such pumps, please call +41 77 945 82 02 or send a text message.

Dieser arme Welpe und 20 andere wurden in einer gemeinsamen Anstrengung von palästinensischen Teams, der Atalef-Organisation in Israel und unserer Partnerorganisation in Israel Gilboa Animal Rescue aus Ramallah gerettet.

Bei 11 von ihnen wurde jedoch Parvovirus diagnostiziert, das für junge Welpen lebensbedrohlich ist. Dror was a fighting dog. He was born and raised with one mission: to fight and kill other dogs. He was quite good in that, so he remained alive. But then he got too old for fights, and his owner just dumped him in a cage, sick, dehydrated, and starving.

The rescue team of Gilboa Animal Rescue, our partner organization in Israel, received a call and immediately went to rescue Dror. He was in a really bad condition. They evacuated him to a veterinary hospital and cared for him days and nights. After several months of recovery, the so-called fighting dog turned out to be a wonderful friendly dog, who gets along with every living creature - humans, dogs, and even cats. Dror was adopted to a warm home and he got the chance to live the rest of his life as he should have lived his entire life - in a loving home.

Unfortunately, this is not the only case of dogs being abused for fighting. Pitbulls and other such breeds have an extraordinary endurance, and they can suffer pain and violence and still remain loyal and disciplined. The bad image they have is misleading. They are kind and loyal just as any other dog, and they are smart just like Shepherds and Retrievers.

Illegal breading is unfortunately not rare in Israel. Female dogs are sometimes kept in horrible conditions and used as breeding machines, without any care or even food. The offsprings are often sold for cruel dog fights. This female Pitbull was found tied to a chain, starving to death. She went through multiple births, and then was abandoned. She was saved by the team of Gilboa Animal Rescue, our partner organization in Israel, taken to a veterinary hospital, and then to their shelter for recovery.

Lucy, a beautiful and gentle Siberian Husky, was found abandoned, starved, and dehydrated, with severe tick fever. She was close to death. She has been rescued by the team of Gilboa Animal Rescue, our partner organization in Israel, and was taken to a veterinary hospital. It was then discovered that Lucy escaped a terribly abusive home, where she had undergone physical and mental torturing, and lived in horrible conditions.

Rio is a smart and handsome German Shepherd. Rio lived in a yard, tied on a chain, without having any social contact with humans or other dogs. The team of Gilboa Animal Rescue found him starved, anxious, with almost no hair due to a bad skin disease. They provided him with medical treatment in a veterinary hospital and then a long recovery process.

We at Lucy Animal Rescue worked together with the team at Gilboa Animal Rescue, to connect Rio with Lucy and help him socialize, with the help of a professional dog trainer.

We are Yana and Yotam, we live in Switzerland and we love dogs. We have been volunteering with dog rescue organizations in Israel for many years. We adopted Lucy and Rio, and they now live with us in our home in Switzerland, together with our two young children.

We decided to start our own organization here in Swizerland to support the amazing teams in Israel and the Palestinian territories, to promote education and castration of dogs, and to help individuals to adopt dogs from these organizations instead of buying dogs from breeders.

We help and support animal rescue organizations in Israel and the Palestinian territories. Unfortunately, there are many stray and abused dogs there. Our mission is to help them by raising funds to support medical treatments and food purchase, establish projects for improved living conditions in shelters, for education and promotion of animal rights, and by supporting castration projects.
